Hello fishes. Need your suggestions. I have worked at Accenture for 2 yrs as a software developer and due to interest in core side, took training in Rv-Vlsi and placed in capgemini as PHYSICAL DESIGN ENGINEER . And it's been 9 months, I didn't get any project. I am much frustrated as I am wasting my imp time. I'm regretting now of leaving Accenture :( Can you give me suggestions on what to learn in this free time? Intel Corporation Qualcomm MediaTek Synopsys Inc. Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

Any Aon pension actuaries who could help my friend understand the hierarchy of titles? Let’s say my friend has 10 years of experience, FSA and EA credentials, was a consistently high performer over his career, what would his expected title be at Aon within the core retirement actuarial business? Thanks in advance.
Yikes. Please take a day off right away. Say you feel sick and need a day off. We’re not saving lives here, they’ll be fine without you on this random Tuesday.
+1 to this = mental health day is so much more important if you feel this way. Go take a walk/get a coffee/sleep in, give yourself a real sick day to just BE and don't put the pressure on yourself to get anything done.

I can’t stand sitting

Not taking pto is like choosing not to invoice a client. It’s part of your comp and more importantly you need it to maintain your health. Send an outlook invite today blocking a week (or two)

You can definitely take LOA, we always think work NEEDS to be done but in the end.. it doesn’t really matter.
id also encourage you to advocate for yourself. put yourself first and dont mind how your teammates will react. your health cant bounce back as easily as work can.
Sorry to hear that. You sure you can't touch base with your engagement lead about taking some time off to unwind? Sending you good thoughts as well

I’m gonna schedule a meeting to discuss. I’ve been trying to just get the work done so I don’t seem difficult or lazy but these past few weeks have been a mess. Thank you! 😭
Be happy, people would love to be in your position at your job
Lol “be happy.” What revolutionary advice.
If you need more time, tell your lead. You want out anyway, what's the worst that can happen? A bad performance review or getting rolled off which won't matter since you are interviewing anyway? We put so much pressure on ourselves in these jobs, but just miss a deadline if you have to for the sake of your mental health. I've been there too and wished I had done this when I was billing 90 hours a week.

I told myself even if I get a better offer I would consider staying but I am definitely leaving if I get a better offer. My project is not enjoyable anymore and it’s definitely not what I want to do in my career. It’s just difficult for me to not care because I’m so used to putting out quality work and always meeting deadlines and requests
Is this me? Are you me???

We are one 😭
Take a day off and see how you feel. You can’t think straight when you’re in a fire.
Take care of yourself OP. You only have 1 life!
How long until the end of the engagement? I have been you. Lost vacation. Was miserable every day. Still did my work though to keep client happy. Project then ended and now I am in a better place. If you have a short time until it ends maybe stick it out. Either way, take a few mental health days. Call out sick a few days. And dont check email during your time away!
Focus on your mental health! Not worth it.
Come to Huron! We are soooo much better.
Yes, I love the healthcare practice! What insustry are you interviewing for?
Are you me?
I was in a similar situation and it began to impact my health. I've taken paid time off now (stress leave) and it's going well. Happy to chat!
