I also do not have work email on my personal phone and I don’t even have notifications turned on for my personal email. Boundaries

Keep it that way. That’s called WLB.

I think its totally fine to not have it on your phone! I have a coworker though who never checks his deloitte email. Even after being told on other forums there is a specific email out there for him or a request is made to complete something. Weeks and weeks on end. He says he just doesnt want the hassle of opening his deloitte laptop (which i totally get - i rarely open mine, but thats why i keep it on my phone so i can see if i am trulyyyy needed). So anyway. Yes the boundary is great as long as you also do your job on on-hours :)
All depends on where you work, the culture, your clients, and whether the firm reimburses you for your monthly bill (which mine does). I personally like having it because if something urgent comes up while I’m away from my computer then at least I can respond right away rather than the next day which might make things worse. I don’t check my emails when I’m at dinner or out with friends obviously but it doesn’t hurt having access to my email at all times.
At our firm, this would be... frowned upon.

I've always had separate work and personal phones. Don't think I could work for a company that insisted I need to have my work email accessible at all times. Haven't yet heard of a job that would pay me well enough for that shit.
Lol nope, I keep it off my phone. At my previous company we got a company phone and I much prefer that than putting firm apps on my phone to qualify for monthly reimbursement. Not saving lives, my team knows if theres a emergency then they can call or text. Otherwise, email can wait until next business day.

It depends on your culture, client and what's happening on your engagements. When I was with the firm in the US, this would be frowned upon. Now that I'm back in New Zealand, the opposite is true... It's frowned upon to be working other than during work.

They’re monitoring your personal/work phone when they are the same phone.
