With new considerations for full-time remote work given the pandemic, has anyone heard of hires internationally at agencies? For example, if an agency office in London has a remote option, do they even consider candidates from the U.S. or will the time difference be too great to make it work?
So I earn about $10k a day in a side gig... should I continue to work in consulting? With the work from home thing I can do both.

I’m sure this has been asked before but help a New Yorker out! Wife and I are moving from NYC (after 11 years here) to LA. Trying to figure out best neighborhood for a “slow build” into LA. Would love walkability, modern apartments or house, washer/dryer in unit. We’ll be getting 2 houses. I’m WFH for now. Looking at 2-3 bedroom, 2+ bath. $6-7.5k per month in rent. Thinking Santa Monica, but would love recommendations. Not ready to do suburbs. Appreciate any and all suggestions!
Any sublets for July / august ? Up to 2.5k budget. Preferably UES. Open to room mates. 25 M from Canada. I’m pretty chill. Need space for a desk to WFH in the room.
My firm recently announced that they were beginning a reservation system for hoteling starting February of 2022 for offices . We were told to clear out our offices by December 31,2022 . The lease is not up for renewal until June 2024 at which point they will look to reduce their office space due to a hybrid work model . My issue is what incentive do I have to make a reservation to go to an office when I can simply continue work from home hassle free. Any Thoughts and comments?
Just moved into tech field as a junior college student. MIS major interested in tech and cybersecurity jobs. Looking for jobs that will provide the opportunity to work from home and have good work life balance. Around 40 hr/wk and have good opportunities to move up and make good money. But I feel like it’s hard to find all 3 in a job. But willing to work to gain the skills to be able to. Love the career opportunities in both of these fields. Picked up a service desk job to get exp.
Is Pwc’s remote work policy real? If you don’t wanna travel ever again, does the company really allow you to wfh? Do you think that this policy will be revisited in the future?PwC
(US-based question) If you work in your firm’s NYC office but live in NJ, do you pay NYC city taxes? Any obligation to pay any NY taxes? Or federal + NJ state? How does remote work factor in? And side question: If you’re based in NY but live in Florida for a few weeks, does that save you some state taxes for those weeks? Or is there a cut-off number of days?
Hi fishes, I shifted my career to UI UX Design a year ago and now I wanna switch to another company so that I can continue my remote working productively. Pls DM if any opportunities.
Hi everyone! I am new to Fishbowl - didn't even know this is a thing! I am looking for a Recruiter - fast paced, energetic, personable, strategic, forward thinking, thorough and good at building relationships. Can be remote some of the time, but really needs to be local - Knox (outside of), TN. I would really like to have someone who has some accounting recruiting experience.
Going on a parental leave in a month. Anyone know of any remote, freelance/part time I can do to still make money on the side? Out side of Uber/Lyft etc
Hello Folks, Can you pls advise on which company to go for. R-Systems : They are providing WFH + clarity on the project and team for which I’ll be working upon. CTS : No clarity as of now, only thing I am aware is that I’m a part of full stack community. HCL : Some clarity on the project but less package than other two. R-Systems and CTS are giving same CTC. Hi All, I’m currently in the interview process with AFS in DC for a job level 9 consultant and during the phone screening I asked for 110K. I currently work in Richmond for 90K for Infosys. moving to a higher COL, if AFS were to give the 110, would that be a negative change in salary? If so, should I ask for more? YOE: 2 years
How do I get Westin's to place a WSJ outside my door in the morning? Is this a 100 night elite thing?
What’s the situation with kids who are enrolled at pre-school? Can you pull them out? Penalties? Are they shifting to VC? My 2.5yo son is due to start in Sept and can’t imagine him engaging on a Zoom
gate agent just said we're delayed 3 hours because they don't know where the crew is. how many points?
I work in a 7-attorney firm with a national presence. Partly because I’m only a few months in, I work a roughly 8-6 day. I’m also new to billing and often find myself working all day and billing just 4 hours. Whenever I bring this up to the partner, he says it’s good we’re not over billing our client. We don’t have minimum billable hours so it doesn’t matter much for the firm’s sake but I think I’m missing out on learning the important skill of billing my time. Has anyone ever experienced this?
A sleepy summer Sunday watching the end of a great test cricket match, grabbing a beer with friends and glorious weather. Honestly it is the first day since covid that life feels normal for me
Just received my EAD and travel permit through marriage based GC. My current H1-B is not stamped. I need to travel out of the country - do I bother getting my H1 stamped or just travel using parole?

Help!? Have 100k in cash (had been <stupidly> conservative about investing while paying loans). 90k addl. coming in to invest on annual basis going forward (what’s left of base + bonus after taxes, maxing 401k, and all expenses), which mostly comes in end of year bonus (55-60k post tax) and rest monthly (3kish a month). Only big goals are buying house (~$1.25M ballpark) in ~3yrs, contribute to 529 (plan for 1 kid) and maximize long term net worth potential. How would you approach it all?
If you had a good reference to a FAANG company, but want to switch domains (non-technical / risk work -> technical), would you apply and then try to switch internally or go back to school and then try to come in at a role more aligned with your future goals?
I want to brush up my design skills. Especially illustrator and photoshop. Any tips for great tutorials, lessons, online universities etc. Thank you!
Big 4 fish, how do you handle independence reporting for your bf/gf? My bf works at a big 4 firm as a consultant (not audit) and from their vague definition, I qualify as a "spousal equivalent." He's always worried that he could theoretically get fired if he didn't report me and they found out about our relationship, but we definitely don't want to go through the process, especially considering I'd have to sell most of my stocks as they're restricted. Is there really a risk to not reporting me??
