When did you interview and did they give you a timeline?
I interviewed about 2 weeks ago. I was scheduled for 4 interviews back to back but the one with a principle got canceled last minute and they said we’ll try to reschedule. So I reached out to thank them, ask about rescheduling, and for an update on when a decision should be expected. No response all three times.
Yes this does sound like they ghosted you. It's okay to move on. It's nothing you did wrong could be a sign that it wasn't the right position for you.
Ugh, I hate that for you. Yes, it sounds like they did ghost you. It could be that they have others interviewing and want to wait to follow up but either way, should provide an update when you ask. Probably best to call it a loss (on their part) and look for a company that offers a better candidate experience, and probably a better work environment.
It takes about 2-3 weeks from what I've found to get all the pieces together for an offer. I don't know how long it's been you, but you might want to give it a bit more time before totally giving up. Keep applying at other places so you don't have all your eggs in one basket!
Ghosting sucks and it's a bad aspect of our culture as everyone deserves the respect and notification of the status of a requisition. See if there are other recruiters at the firm that can sub you for roles.
Yea, this is truly the worst when this happens, but I would do my best to not take it personally. It's not necessarily a reflection of your performance. Sometimes these clients are looking for a unicorn and you may not be the unicorn and that's fine.
How long has it been since your last interview? It could be that you are being ghosted, or the person could be on vacation and out of the office, etc. There is no way to know for sure. If you haven't heard back in two ore more weeks, I would probably assume that you are not getting the role
Well that depends on how long it has been since the interview. If it hasn't been two weeks yet since then, there's a good chance they're still sorting it out. Stay hopeful!
