I consider myself a moderate and I just can’t understand why the right has a problem with a woman as Vice President when they just installed a woman on the U.S. Supreme Court.

You answered your own question. The right was perfectly fine with Palin, and according to John Bolton's book, Trump was considering replacing Pence with Nikki Haley for 2020. These guys care way more about winning than these secondary issues.

Neither party actually cares about women’s rights, they care about power. They both use it as a prop to boost votes when it’s convenient. Notice how each party tears down women of the other side while claiming to be pro-women and celebrating women on their side. I don’t think there’s very many people who are pro-ACB and pro-Kamala for example.

D1, can you explain other people's reasoning here? i would say that the each side only champions women on their side of the aisle. Half the circiles I run in republican/conservative and I have yet to here the argument you put forth.

I don't think they have an issue with her being a women vs her stances on issues. Kamala is sometimes referred to the most liberal democrat.

I've never heard anybody call her Mala, but how is that racist or sexist? Sincere question, I'd like to avoid similar mistakes.

Is it just the gender that matters? Can we not base that decision on things like... qualifications or policy stances?

I don't hate her for being a woman, or POC. I can't stand her policies and what that would do to your country.

Ummm cause we don’t like Kamala but we like Amy???? How is this a question

This unfortunately is the extend of some people’s ability to think critically. Or maybe it’s not, but people hear what they want to hear

Almost all Kamala’s achievements are the result of being appointed or supported by influential men. It’s a shame she is the first female VP given that much of her career was given to her (much like how she was selected for VP while polling poorly in the primaries and dropping out early) We all knew Biden was going to pick a woman so he could creep on her

*whispers* she’s black

Where is she black?

I’m a moderate R. Would support any moderate R or D woman for high office. Her voting record shows she isn’t moderate. Simple as that.

[1/2] Hi all, I apologize because I know there have been posts on this bowl with similar subject matter recently, but I really need advice. I am at a risk of losing my job at the end of this month if I don’t make some changes to my work performance, specifically meeting my monthly billable hour requirement. My work and my work product is not an issue - my partner has repeatedly commended me on everything I produce, but my billable hours are seriously lacking.

About to hit 1 YOE in my first job post grad and have a feeling raises/market adjustments won’t be sufficient due to Covid even though the firm seems to be meeting expectations in terms of the feedback we’ve received from management. To all my SDRs/AEs/AMs/BDRs that are out there, I’m running an experiment that I’ve never seen before: Have you ever worked together with a teammate to close your company’s deals? I’m talking start to finish of sales process, from cold call to closed booking. I’m curious to know if folks always tackle calls by themselves, particularly intro calls, and beyond. Obviously there has to be a handoff at some point, but where is that inflection point? Trust is probably THE most important rapport
