I consistently get ghosted and it sucks. Can’t help but feel like I’m just not the ideal woman or very attractive.

I find ghosting disrespectful and if I’m consistently getting disrespected, then I must be doing something wrong

Ghosting says more about the other person than it does about you. Don't let that discourage you

I for the most part don’t even swipe right on most folks out there. If someone ghosts me I would take it they’re not mature enough, invested enough, interested enough, or worth it enough to bother spending my emotions on. You can only do what you can. Dating can be hard on the self esteem and I take breaks from it all the time to protect my mental health. I would suggest working on your self worth and confidence and consider taking a break from the dating scene as well. Until you see yourself as the ideal woman or attractive, you can’t expect anyone else to see that. Hard to do, but I truly believe that this is key.

The ideal woman/man/tree/elbow does not exist. The very fact that people are ghosting you is a sign that people are all on their own growth journeys and not always able to show up - even when they want a relationship and say so in their profile. Even when they find you attractive/intriguing enough to swipe. None of them are ideal or perfect because no one is perfect. They aren’t disrespecting you so much as they are showing that they aren’t capable of what you want. Let them go. And remember you and your self worth has nothing to do with how people on the internet treat you.

Ghosting is disrespectful but unfortunately it’s the norm these days. Try to change your mindset, it’s their loss. You are fine. It just takes time to find your person

Mid level atty in a fast moving case. Earlier this year jrs brought on the team to help lessen work flow. Both partner and I delegate certain tasks, esp when we’re super busy. Junior goofed regarding deadlines (which I had to ask for twice); now partner is stressed, tho we should be able to lock in an extension. Jr took ownership of the slip up. I owned that I should have checked his work, but I feel that I hurt my rep. w partner. What to do? Lay low? Not a fan of throwing ppl under bus.

I could use some advice on this situation. I’ve been working for a small family owned business in Toronto Canada for about 4months. I’ve noticed a lot of unprofessional behaviour since I’ve started (yelling at workers infront of customers) I’ve bounced around different positions so much that the owner blames 98% of stuff on me when something isn’t done, even if it’s not my responsibility anymore.A week ago I asked for an employment contract to get this straight but nothing yet. What do I do?

Trainee here. A senior came to my office that I’m sharing with the team paralegal and complained about a mistake I made last week when we were filing. Everything was explained in a very politically correct but firm wording. I don’t know why my voice started shaking and my eyes got wet when I apologised. I felt so ashamed in front of the paralegal and now I’m just feeling so stupid :(

LinkedIn question: I’ve never seen this before - someone shows up in the list of employees at a company. But, the button that normally says “follow” or “connect” is sunken/darkened and says I’m “following.” I (as far as I know) never followed nor requested to connect with this person and they do not appear in my list of people I follow. Is this a privacy setting or did they block me?

Please save the tobacco hate. I smoke a cigar at least once a day. I grew up around the cigar (and rum) industry, so I genuinely appreciate it. It came out during a conversation with one of the partners in my practice group. He and I go to the same Cigar Lounge when I am not ordering from Cigars International. The Rum industry also came up (my ancestors were actual Rum Runners during prohibition.)

Nevertheless, he suggested that we meet up at our lounge for cigars. Thoughts?

My co-worker is so resentful and competitive because I was promoted over her last year which caused a demotion on her end. People in the company still go to her for things that should be for me but she rarely corrects them. Shes still involved in the company too in a way that allows her to know secrets that I should know about but never do. I technically am above her within the company but this is how things are. I just do my job and try to not let it bother me but it does. Any suggestions?
