I'm having the last loop interviews with Amazon for an analyst position, but I'm realizing that it might not be the right place for me, I'm currently working at hpe and have a good balance, 11+ YOE, I'm not sure if it's really worth the effort. Can someone tell me about what level sales ops analyst job might be? I looked for range salaries and it looks like it is 55k for Germany, so not really much of what I'm earning now.
I read bad comments about the culture and the workload balance.
Is there any ongoing hiring freeze in B4?

Not cringe at all IMO - it is an achievement to join B4 and they will get great training, an impressive CV, make some lifelong friends and a springboard into the world of work. If they don't like it, they can move on (as we all can) but let's all remember the pride and enjoyment we felt when we got our first major job. Having said that, I think LinkedIn is a waste of time and so I don't use it!

Saw one that said “I’m humbled to announce that I’ve hit my goal of owning $1M in investment properties not at 30 years old but at 26.”
You people know what humble means?

Should have started that one with “I’d like to thank my parents for the gifted funds that I used to purchase….”

Gen Z needs the positive reinforcement. Let them be.
I am gen z. I’d rather be straight up & not bs to
One persons dream is another’s nightmare.
Your cringe has nothing to do with their excitement. Cringe away if you’re sad and miserable. Let them celebrate their wins
I mean I was super excited when I got hired. I made a Instagram post with their logo and all. Reality hit me like truck later but for the initial acceptance phase let them enjoy especially since it won’t last long.

Same lol

I wonder why it’s almost boilerplate every single time… some variation of “I’m very excited/thrilled to announce that I will be starting my role as tax associate at….”. Should try to make it original imo, unless the firms tell them exactly what to say.

Yeah, partly why I left audit. Bye SALY!
They’ll learn.
I cringe those too and would never write one myself, but I think you’re forgetting that for many people it’s their first big job out of college. Most of those students are really proud of this, so let them be proud of this achievement before they learn that it’s a grunt work and management fixes underpayment, stress and overwork with pizza parties.
wait you guys get pizza?
When I was in college, big 4 was my dream job and I posted something similar when I first got accepted- I was genuinely at the time.
Same here. This was definitely me years ago.
I need them to start doing it in their high school gym with 4 hats on a table like big time college athletes
The tv ratings would be through the roof!
Why is it cringe? I’m at year 3 at Deloitte and I love my job I was excited and it was justified
I mean, in high school my dream was to be a horse trainer. I pursued that dream in my tiny hometown, but I stayed poor. I had no one to teach me how to have a career, how to go to college, etc. I learned that on my own in my late 20s.
I made it into the Big 4 NYC in my 30s and moved myself out of poverty very quickly, so I’m proud of that. And now I feel overwhelmed with all of the different paths I have laid out in front of me.
High school dreams can be dumb sometimes. You don’t know the backgrounds or the hard work it took for people to get to where they are today, so let them have their moment.
Literally saw an intern tag their client in the post and described the project in detail such as the $ amount and say how honored they are to be working with this client on the project…
D2 I hope so but I was amazed by how many likes and praises they got on that post lol
I still feel thankful that I was able to find a job with a decent salary.. I’m a bit older (2-3 years) then my peer group, and was a struggle for me to even think I was capable of finding a salaried job… I always struggled with low self esteem and low confidence, I never thought that I could be able to enter the workforce with a decent job
That’s perfectly okay! Meaning behind what I posted was calling b4 a persons dream job
I was happy to get a job at EY, and have no regrets! It was a great decision, and B4 opens doors to new opportunities. There will be some measure of "disillusionment" no matter the job/industry/opportunity - it's not cringey for people to be happy they have a ticket to a lifetime of job security (especially if they grew up poor like me)
Whenever I read one of those posts on LinkedIn, I can’t help tell to myself:” let’s see if you’ll still be excited and if it’s your dream job after one busy season”!🤣🤣🤣🤣
I cringe at all of these posts in any field. I am pleased to announce blah blah blah 🙄. On your FB or insta for your friends and family ok. But LinkedIn where people find new jobs on a daily.. wth cares
When my pre-k teacher Ms. Kind asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up I couldn’t hold in my desire to work at a Big4. I was destined to work here.
They will soon find out how the dream work entails after collecting all those likes and comments from the firm.
