I was an Allstate exclusive agent for 20 years. Got burned out and left in 2012. Went Independent and have never looked back. Best move I ever made. Go get your 7 & 65 and find an independent broker/dealer. There is a much bigger world out there than Allstate wants you to see.
Leave Allstate. No one will see you as a true financial planner there. Go somewhere with great intro training and a salary to get you off the ground... like a Edward Jones, Raymond James, or maybe Schwab and then once you make it go Indy and thank us later.
Well I currently have my 6 & 63, I wanted a 7 and 66 and begged for it but I was turned down. I don’t know if I am ready to leave Allstate, but I appreciate the advice and to know that I have options.
Edward Jones would love to talk with you. We’ll pay you to get your S7 and S66 and build a business. We’re not for everyone - we have a strong culture and a specific way to do business. We work for over 15,000 advisors and might be a fit for you. Talk to some indies and other warehouses, too. It’s a major change and hopefully not one you need to make more than once.
Does EJ still door knock? My fat ass would pass out
Instead of changing companies(everyone seems to talk their own book) do educational seats for clients and friends on investment topics. Do it at a nice restaurant. Explain it is so your people see you as the go to person for investments.
Leave Allstate
