My resume got shortlisted for Operations Associate/Engineer-Amazon Managed Services role. I am an experienced AWS engineer with 5YOE.I feel like this role will be degrading in nature for me. Is it worth joining for this position. I would love to join Amazon based on my experience and skill set. But Not to some position which doesn't require AWS experience.

Why are you a tax associate after getting an MBA...? The MBA is a big way people pivot but you've already gotten that so...
I would be applying/networking for finance jobs now, as well as learning the skills necessary for your desired job. Not saying tax is necessarily bad, but it's not well suited for the finance track as the skillset doesn't really align. Tax generally leads to more tax so just don't stay too long.
As a tax associate, you’ll get staffed on audits but only work on the tax side of the audit. So essentially, just more tax. I would try switching into audit if you want that accounting experience

Did you go Undergrad then MBA? Typically people save that for when they career pivot. Otherwise since you essentially have a finance degree just apply to finance roles. Ideally those that have you do a rotation.

The whole point of the MBA is not to prove any competency but to network and focus on getting Summer internships to get that experience and transition where you want to go. IDK ,if you wanted the 150 credits or something you should have dual majored in Finance or gotten the masters in Accounting.
Reach put the your MBA alumni network. Somebody must know some leads for you.
