I recently became PMP certified and am working as a Project Coordinator on a large ERP project. I’ve been in the position for 2 months, enjoy the work, and would like more responsibility and work from home. The director made an inappropriate (sexual) comment; it was so inappropriate that I don’t want to work with the company and am looking for a new opportunity. I would like to get into IT, but I don’t have a speciality. What are tech companies looking for in a Project/Product Manager?
Hey mamas, need some advice. What do you do for back-up childcare when your kid is sick? We recently put our baby in daycare and it seems like every week, she’s getting some kind of cold, rash… and we have to take her out. Don’t have family near so that’s not an option. I’m wfh for now but not sure how to still be productive and care for her.
I’m a pretty anxious person and I’ve realized that a remote work environment only makes me more so - not being able to read people’s tone well, email/ping responses being more delayed than they would be in a conversation, the awkwardness of virtual meetings, etc. I’m in therapy and will discuss this there but would love to hear some tips about how people manage work anxiety specifically in a remote consulting environment.
Have any of your firms discussed a flexible WFH policy post-pandemic? I’m happier & my hours are through the roof. I want to approach management with policy ideas for people like me who are thriving.
What’s the return to office/WFH plan at WSGR? Are they requiring a number of days in the office when they reopen?
Working in my office used to be my primary source of work outfit inspiration but since working remote staying aware of what styles are in is nearly impossible. I live in a smallish town, so going out doesn't help fill in that awareness gap. Are there any online communities or slack communities where people talk about and share style inspiration I can wear at work? I'm 28, work in tech, and my office is a start up, so attire is casual. I'd also be interested in brands people follow.
The year is 2023 and the ad agency you started has made the list of top creative agencies. Your company allows for remote work but the agency also has a physical location as the main office. What city would you have your office located in and why?
Due to WFH, Thinkin’ of moving outta the northeast down south. Would love to get ppl’s opinions of these smaller scale cities (I already know enough bout ATL/CLT, etc.): - Columbia, SC - Chattanooga, TN - Savannah, GA - Asheville, NC
Tips and tricks for remote onboarding? Anything that worked really well or you wish you'd done differently?
Hey Jersey folks that work in Manhattan. Is your office talking about reopening soon? Will you have the option to still work from home?
By close of eyes is not a reasonable time for any deliverable to be due. You work from home not 24/7. Let’s normalize standard working hours; if work isn’t done within eight to nine hours in day then it’s time for evaluate systems, if all those Zoom calls were necessary and staff utilization.
Any start-up companies that are fully remote? Or that will allow me to work from S Korea?
Hello Friends! My company is hiring. Please feel free to DM if you have any questions or would like more info. Hi everyone! I am new to Fishbowl - didn't even know this is a thing! I am looking for a Recruiter - fast paced, energetic, personable, strategic, forward thinking, thorough and good at building relationships. Can be remote some of the time, but really needs to be local - Knox (outside of), TN. I would really like to have someone who has some accounting recruiting experience.
Anyone have leads on a firm hiring fully remote, entry level corporate attorneys? I am a 4th year lit associate, but would be willing to start from the bottom to change practice areas and be remote, especially if the firm pays well.
All things equal - would you take 150 base and 300-400+ OTE to work remote for a Series C tech firm out of NYC? Or 120 base and 275 OTE to work for a Series B out of Scottsdale? Good problem to have - I know. I am from the south and have never worked in NYC, wondering if I’ll regret it even if the $$$ is better.
Suggestions on finding a therapist who can work via Skype/Web Cam? I travel a lot and work long hours. Even in a big city getting to a regular appointment is a challenge.
Junior copywriter salary with a Copywriter title ? Normal ? Same thing? Someone talk to me!

Top 10 books to read about consulting life ?
Have an offer on the table at a startup that’s $35K more than current big 4 salary for a Senior Manager role. Benefits package is very comparable (401k match, healthcare costs, fringe stipends for WFH). Startup has been around for 5+ years and has secured a solid, 9 figures of investor dollars. Is it worth the move and having to leave my extremely secure “network” and role at a Big 4?
If you make a lump sum after tax HSA contribution, can you still deduct that from your taxes? Assuming it’s all under the applicable limits. Haven’t really contributed much to date, but wife is pregnant and has lots of bills due before year end and would like to use HSA if possible. Thanks!
Im a first year MHA student who is really interested in working for one of the Big 3 after I graduate. Do you guys have any advice of when to start applying or how to boost my resume? Kind regards!
Good Marriott hotel in Vegas for Christmas time? Platinum elite member hoping for upgrades.
Does anyone have the 2020 SHRM books for sale or to borrow? My job won’t contribute towards my certification. I’ve already paid for my test. I have the books from 2015 but I’d like to study from the 2020. I tried finding them online to purchase but sellers of affordable books aren’t responding.
What are your agencies doing about their holiday parties in light of the current state of Covid? Have you felt pressure to attend? What size agency are you at?
One of my roommates has been trying (unsuccessfully) to kick me out of my apartment and back to my parent’s house because I have COVID and it’s screws up with his ability to go into his office apparently (he’s even vaccinated). Anyone else face something similar?
Just sharing a few of my doors. You can save them to your phone and use them in your Bitmoji classrooms.
Realized I won’t make SPG gold elite by the end of the year. Will I have to start over again in 2019 with a balance of 0 or will I still have my 23 nights balance to forward with?
General question: If you get laid off from a job, and have ~6 month’s of expenses saved, would you simply focus on getting a new job, or getting a new job that pays more? Should you ever take a pay cut, especially in times like these?
Got a temp offer for less than a year without promise of turning into full-time. Wanted to know what ppl think about temp jobs (looks bad on resume if I don't turn full-time later within the company?) and what comp should look like (e.g. 1.2× of regular comp?). Got another perm offer in a different industry for similar salary, but I might have to relocate and I'm concerned the work may involve translation instead of pure legal work.
This is just weird. (Layoffs a week or so ago)
Laid off 3 wks ago. Had all my hopes pinned on this one job, which after 4 rounds of interviews I didn't get today :(
