I developed an eating disorder in college that has continued until today despite seeking therapy. I’ve kind of accepted that starvation and weird habits are like my version of alcoholism. I have also recognized some clear eating disorder signs in other female partners. For example, a rail thin partner who has crumbs and cookies piled up on her desk. Another one has the tell-tale chipmunk cheeks. Anyone else have an ED?

Every time I rarely date someone, I seem to have tendency to find some flaw in my date (not smart enough, too quiet/loud, can’t carry conversation, immature). No matter the positives she may have, I tend to use that flaw to outweigh them and to convince myself that I deserve better.

I’m not perfect, but maybe my subconscious is telling me that I’m meant to be alone. At same time, I don’t want to be with someone whom I can’t personally connect with either.
