I’ve been trying to recruit attorneys to join our team at my firm but it’s been incredibly difficult to do so, even for friends of mine who I know are working at firms which are really terrible. It seemed a lot easier to get people before Covid hit as people changed firms all the time but now it seems much more difficult.

Has anybody had this same experience? Does anybody know the cause? Finally, does anybody have any helpful tips?

McKinsey Consultant applicant: tips for the interactive assessment?

I interviewed for an Associate Director position in Student Life within CUNY. Both interviews went great, especially the last one with the director. I was informed that I would hear back from them within two weeks. Long story short, it's been over two months and I never got a direct follow up as told; however, I see the exact position reposted on multiple sites, including on CUNY. I called HR and they were the ones who informed me that they decided to interview a new pool of candidates.

I hate my job. Absolutely despise it. Wake up/go to sleep every day with a heavy dread for the future. Grind my teeth in my sleep. Gaining weight. Blood pressure spikes whenever my phone goes off. Becoming unable to hide my disdain for coworkers and clients on calls, emails, etc. Have a loving and supportive partner but feel like I can't relate to her at all because she enjoys her work. I don't want to go back to my post-graduation poverty but damn, at least I felt like I was a real person.

We are going into a recession but airlines are struggling with surging travel demand. Also have lots of friends interviewing and getting offers right now. Am I missing something?

My talent discussions are this week and my team lead gave me mediocre feedback and minimized the amount and quality of work I do.
