I didn’t get a hair cut during COVID and it’s now pretty long. I keep it tied back and on camera it looks like it’s still short. Frankly, I want to keep it long. No one has said anything to me as yet, have even had a few in persons with partners. It’s 2021, do we care?

I’m gonna say it depends on your job and how tidy your hair is regardless of length.

Go for it.

People here will tell you that you should do what you want. The honest truth is if you're a man, it will very likely hurt you. Partners and clients will judge you consciously/subconsciously. It may be small or big, but it will be against you the same way that having tattoos, piercings, being ugly, short, overweight causes subconscious bias.

My PMD, since wfh began, hasn’t shaved or get his hair cut yet. He was the kind of guy getting haircut once every 2 weeks to maintain the extremely neat & clean shaved standard. Since the pandemic he grew into your typical lumberjack look with santa beard, bun up hair, and full tat on both arms that I never seen before while working under him for 3 years.

Nope we don’t care! So long as it’s clean (aka not greasy/stringy) long hair is great! Standard of cleanliness should apply equally to men/women. Personally I love it when men have well-kept long hair.

I had to look up Encino Man 😂 Not the best look, I agree.

Appearance matters more than pure length. As long as it is well kept, you'll be fine.

I think we’re getting there, finally. Wear your hair as you wish, if you like it keep it! (For me: I am tossing the pencil skirt and heels expectations into the COVID dumpster.)

I too have long hair and now thinking what to do. I don’t want to cut but I am always with clients presenting this or that. It’s hard to let go hair. :) Before pandemic., always cut my hair every 3 weeks.

Thanks all, appreciate the feedback! To be clear, I’m on camera a lot and am always clean shaven, wear a shirt with a collar, and have it neatly combed. I present to clients several times a day and haven’t had any commentary nor acknowledgement even of the length. (Was even top ranked and promoted this past cycle, so there’s that as a data point.). I think it’s going to be a surprise to folks when they do see me in person.

You know, I am doing the same exact thing. I’m a little worried about going back into work but I don’t think anyone will even mention it. These are weird times.

Long hair on men 🥵🤤

I’ve done the same- let my locks grow free for the first time 😂 As long as it’s kept neat and clean, nobody should have an issue!

I've seen a lot of posts around APA and utilisation. Please correct my understanding if I'm wrong. APAs are only for those who have tested +ve or are taking care of family members who have tested +ve and cannot be used for any other situation. If that's true and you/your family have defeated Covid, why the fuss over utilisation? P.S. plz let me know if there's another use of APAs I'm not aware of

My roommate is denying to pay his share of rent he supposed to pay also which he has been paying till Dec 2020. This is not due to COVID but we had an argument using common places in Jan 21,until then he was paying his share of rent $1100 which he agreed to pay for the master bedroom which is quite large that he is occupying, after the brawl he is saying he can pay only equal share of the rent $1950/2 =$975, he also wants the extra money back that he claims that he extra paid. In a world of remote consulting work…. How long can the US maintain its high premium over European and, esp. developing market consulting? Both price tag to clients and significantly higher salaries for the people. I imagine may move faster at Big 4, etc. than MBB, but within MBB the huge cost and salary differentials feel… increasingly hard to maintain (even though I think the differential has actually gotten bigger, not smaller in the last two years). Thoughts?
