I didn't notice my unhealthy lifestyle till now. Do you guys suggest I get a trainer or start experimenting at the gym on my own?

Exactly — you’ll get a lot more out of a trainer if you establish baseline fitness first. Try classes if you want something more supervised.

Unhealthy lifestyle should first be addressed with dieting and just going to the gym. Once you’ve made it to the gym 3-4/ week for two weeks, then see a trainer

I find that if you find yourself motivated enough to make and implement changes, the initial steps are easy to find and learn on your own. Go to a trainer when you don't know what to do next. Don't go to a trainer to get motivation!

Do CrossFit for 2 months, it’s cheaper than personal trainer... and if it is a good place they’ll pretty much teach and work with you to use good form... form is most important so u don’t hurt yourself when going up in weights... bad cycle if u workout then hurt urself and can’t workout then u start eating and getting fat and then back to square 1

Trainer. The periods in my life where I’ve found myself suddenly chubby, I signed up for at least 12 training packages (once actually did a 50 pack and the result was WOW), and just got back into shape. I need the structure and buy in

You do have to pair this with a good diet. There was a period when I was simmering in DC and I worked out with a trainer at least 3 times a week, paired that with yoga on off days and limited calories to 1,500 or less per day, I shed almost 20 lbs in a little under 3 months

I’m a very emotional and sensitive person. I find that dating apps and social media really mess with my mental health, even though I don’t even use it much. Should I just accept that these are not for me?


Lost 16-18lbs since WFH. I’m back down to 200lbs now. Hoping to hit ~185 and stay that way! Starting to see my abs again:) and I feel soooo much better.


How do I relieve eye strain? I stare at a computer all day long during work + am working on a project outside of work requiring lots of research on my laptop screen. I love the taste of coffee, but I feel like my consumption goes up, up, up then mixed with the stress of my job i get anxiety and I burn myself out. I also feel like I need it to handle the long hours required in my job. I quit for 9 months last year but always go back to it.
