I’ve been interviewing for a position at EY . The role I applied for and was referred for is a Senior Consultant. However, when I’ve been receiving emails for interview scheduling confirmation I’ve noticed it only says Consultant. Is there a difference between Consultant and Senior Consultant at EY or are they the same? What’s the pay difference for both, if there is one? I just want to make sure they’re not trying to bump me down from the level I actually want to be considered for. Thanks!
A lot of the ESL positions i am Interviewing for are part time. I don’t have an issue with this but I would assume I wouldn’t get health benefits. What other jobs could I do at the same time?
Does LinkedIn networking for a referral actually help when applying? I feel like I’m struggling to maintain a good relationship with execs to make that referral request naturally.
Do associates @ other strategy shops spend a lot of time sourcing/conducting interviews?
Who has interviewed with EY recently? For experienced hires what is the in person interview like? Case study?
In the later stages of interview process for an in-house exec role for a small company. Went through the process directly with the company - now I’m competing with another person found by an exec search firm. Company wants me to talk tomorrow to the exec search firm too so they can evaluate my experience. Feeling a lot of self doubt as the other candidate is a senior leader and has done this before - whereas it’s more of a stretch role for me… any advice?!
Interviewed close to 4 weeks ago…worth following up? Or should I just wait until December
I feel totally blindsided by the interview I just had. I talked informally with Partner 1 before the interview and was told the position would be in one of the firm’s satellite offices. Then, during an interview with Partner 1 and Partner 2, Partner 2 mentioned that I’d have to move to the state where the firm is headquartered because he believes face-time is really important for training/mentoring. I have no plans to move and really hope this wasn’t all a huge waste of time.
How do you respond to an interview call for a potential project? Like someone calls you to gauge your interest and tells you what the project is. Usually I don't know anything about the project so...
Ladies, I’m prepping for an interview at a bulge bracket firm. Any ideas on what good/thoughtful questions I can ask the interviewer/hiring manager? I always struggle when it comes to “Do you have any questions for me?”. This is for Financial Analysis role.
Are Yale interview invites already out?
https://hbr.org/2020/01/what-top-consulting-firms-gets-wrong-about-hiring thoughts? Article mentions case interviews as a poor predictor of performance.
Any suggestions on how to politely "not ace" a project interview? I can't escape the interview but worried about the project. It's a bit disorganized.
Round 1: 30m call w/ recruiter Offline exercise ETC: 3hr Round 2: 1h to discuss exercise w/ interview team Final Round: 2h skills role-play interview and 1h “values” interview. Is this normal?
Can anyone that interviewed with Grant Thornton comment on typical follow-up times after final interviews? Service line is Advisory/Strategy & Transactions. P.s. Stumbled across this app post application, otherwise would’ve been happy to give someone the referral bonus :)
Thoughts on Blackrock’s corporate strategy group? Applying out of as an UG. Would it be comparable to consulting
New to this NY freeze - so when does an agency just call it quits and have everyone work from home? Or is this wishful thinking?
Should I communicate to my boss that I am looking for a new role now, or should I wait until I have an offer in hand and am prepared to quit?
I am joining a new firm and I want to see if my dependent parent can be added to my health insurance. Do I ask when going through the package with the recruiter or after I join?
My utilization has been so low since COVID closed off the offices. Should I be worried? Should I reach out to my relationship/career coach? Change to another group/line of service??
I’m a Manager up for Sr. Manager this upcoming year and want to start gathering support from the Sr. Managers and Partners. How have you handled these discussions? Any tips/do’s/Don’t’s. I have discussed this in prior years but want to make sure everyone is aware. I have been a high performer throughout my career but just got back from my maternity leave and feel a bit disconnected.

Help! I am 6’1” tall with long legs and long feet .... and it seems like my “go to online store” for tall pants/slacks (32”-34” inseam) as well as shoes (size 14M) has shuttered (Long Tall Sally). I would love any suggestions for either tall clothes and/or shoes. Even a place to buy custom shoes at this point - I am desperate! My slightly too small size 13 Tory Burch sandals are just not going to cut it during the colder months, even given COVID 🤪 Thanks in advance!
Deloitte layoffs still happening. What the heck?
Neither of my parents have a 401k, investments, or savings. They have nothing. I want to help them retire at 65 which would be about 15 years away. I’m looking to put about $15k/ year until then into an account for them. A couple questions i have though: 1. What type of investment account would be best to maximize? 2. Once gifted to them, will they be taxed if they receive a certain amount? I have little to no knowledge in investing so I’m open to any other ideas and/or advice.

Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
if i book using points, are they counted as the # of nights required to become gold/platinum the following year?
Question! Does anyone know what KPMG’s paternal leave looks like? My bf and I are having a baby in the spring and my firm gives all new parents three months of paid paternal leave. Is the policy for KPMG different for the Woman giving birth vs the supporting partner (Man)? Thanks!
