What do you think most people thought about BTC until 2020? Crypto has literally always been dependent on keeping an open mind. If you wait for things to make sense, you’ll miss every opportunity.
Sincerely, someone who missed out on doge and nfts and a ton of other opps because i couldn’t “see it”. That said, don’t buy late when everyone’s already “seen it.” That’s the way to lose even bigger.

I want a fast food punk so bad
Crypto punks is the most interesting nft concept in my mind and best represents where the space is striving to go. Most nfts are just pointers to a storage location on the web that is controlled by some 3rd party. The issue with this is you can have multiple pointers to the same location or the contents of that location can be changed by the controlling 3rd party. The data for crypto punks themselves is actually stored on the blockchain so ownership of private keys actually does mean ownership of the image. Obviously storing large files on blockchain is not great which is why the crypto punk images are so pixelated. Nfts have potential, but the legal aspects need to evolve to highlight what the ownership of the nft represents. For example, owning a private key that points to an nba highlight video means more if it represents the rights (and perhaps exclusive rights) to profit off the clip vs. what nba top shot nfts are.
Bought my first NFT yesterday so prob top

To be fair, I don’t get Picasso paintings to this day but some do and will gladly pay millions for them.
