If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Least you can sit and take the exams, my state isn’t even letting me schedule my first exam until I finish this Ethics course.
They should’ve let you know that your courses wouldn’t have counted though for licensure.
Same is happening to me in FL. They say I don't have enough credits and I also have a masters but whatever.
However I just learned yesterday that the Florida Board offers three pathways to licensure by endorsement:
1. Endorsement- Licensed in Another State, section 473.308(7)(b), Florida Statutes.
2. Endorsement- Licensed in Another State at least 10 years section 473.308(7)(c), Florida Statutes.
3. Endorsement- Licensed in Another State with at least five (5) years of experience, section 473.308(8), Florida Statutes.
Check with them if any of these is an option for you.
10 is a lot? That’s 3 classes. How did that happen? Did some of your classes not get approved?
Well most classes I see are 3 credits each, so I would have to take 4 classe. Idk how it happened, I went to school out of state.
You can apply with another state and transfer?
FL is a hard state to reciprocate to because I think you have to meet their licensing requirements still.
Just find a bullshit online university with the cheapest credit hours and take some random upper level accounting courses. They’re super easy. You could probably take all 3 at the same time and find one that will give you 4 credit hours.
What state?
FL
Following, also in the process in FL

Travel up to South Caroli to take the exama. Only requirement is that you have a pulse. Once passed transfer the certificate to the state you will be practicing
So why are you trying to get licensed in FL and not NJ?
Usually the universities align with the state boards. So I’d hope your NJ university credits would count.
Once your licensed in NJ, you can convert your license to FL. That is usually an easy shift. In CA, out of state licenses just need to do the CA ethics exam.
Sounds weird of you have already passed the cpa exam, then you should be fine. They won't let you sit unless you have already met the minimum requirements of licensure.
Ya I sat in NJ and now applied for licensure in FL. Apparently, FL requires more upper level accounting courses 🤨
Florida is very particular with regards to the application process including your education evaluation. I've seen many people have courses rejected in FL that would count in another state.
Before you start taking courses I would try and identify which of your courses you think should qualify but were rejected and petition the board to reconsider. You should go to your institutions and get as much information on the course as you can (i.e. syllabus, course documents) and maybe even a letter from the instructor attesting to the content. While it may be a pain to do all this, I think less painful than taking more courses. If the board declines to reverse their decision, it isn't much lost than some time.
Also, if you're a resident of Florida, seeking licensure elsewhere first can put you in violation of a unique rule. Rule 61H1-29.002 (5) F.A.C. states, “An out-of-state certified public accountant who is a resident of Florida may not practice as a certified public accountant in Florida through the use of temporary licenses or the practice privileges".
I hope you can convince the board to reconsider but otherwise good luck.
I reached out to the Fl board to see if they will give me information about what courses they did and didn’t accept for upper level accounting courses. If some were in fact rejected, I will get a syllabus for that class and try to get it overturned.
Will keep you posted!
If you sat in NJ then apply for lice sure in NJ and then apply for a transfer to FL. I think that is the easiest way to go about it.

Are they not accepting certain courses that you took or are they saying that your 150 hours didn’t include enough hours in accounting?
I believe not enough hours in upper level accounting.
You can take upper level accounting courses at LSUS ODL and UNA. The courses are online, at your own pace, and accepted by the Florida board.
What about the upper level accounting courses I took in graduate school?
