I don’t know if I made the right choice to have my employer cover my masters degree. Now I feel stuck

Did you have to sign any type of agreement? I know a former colleague of mine had to agree to stay for a specific number of years if the company paid for her degree (small private company, not a corporation). From what I understand, this is the standard practice. How long has it been since you finished? Or are you still in school?

Read your contractual agreement. Usually you can still leave, you just have to pay back their tuition sponsorship as if it had been a loan.

How much longer do you have?

I just started my masters so I have until early 2025. I finish masters in 2024 then I have to stay an additional year

Did you have some sort of contract or agreement about this? Usually, it contains all the terms of conditions like staying with the company during and after getting your master's. Maybe you can clarify this matter.

I have to stay an additional year after completing masters

Hi guys, so a friend of mine has been head hunted for a job as a designer position for a interior design company. His current job is a good position which puts him on track to be creative director in 2 years. His current job is a great role, loves what he does but he’s not being paid as much as he should and he’s pretty curious about this other job offer. He’s thinking of going for a meeting with the other company. What kind of questions do you think should be asked in the meeting?

V5 Legal Assistant here (2 years in industry, started at current firm in late April). I’m on pace for 2700 billable hours / year. To boot, that rate is going up because of all of the 65+ hour weeks lately, and the first month being billed around 40.

I was just told that I may not qualify for any bonuses because I haven’t been here for 1 year.

Is this normal? Am I crazy for thinking that I should be getting a *significant* bonus for all of the crazy hours and deadlines?

I’ve been noticing resumes without a date for college graduation. But all the dates are there for jobs. So does it make sense to hide that one piece if I can do the math based on work history? 🤷‍♂️ And I’m over 40 and in this bowl. So I don’t care about age. Actually, I do. Because I prefer more experience than less.

Currently have the FRM title.
I failed CFA level 3 once.

I'm hoping to eventually do CAIA, but only after I'm done with CFA. I'm also hoping to do non-financial certifications, like Certified analytics professional (CAP), and learn about web development.

While I may have the title of manager, I am still an individual contributor. The type of work I do involves quantitative analysis/data analysis/science.

Any suggestions as to what I should start with?
