Should I leave Deloitte for a move to a new city + a mid size firm job in a litigation practice area I’m not interested in, just for the sake of gaining law firm experience? (Been at big 4 one year graduated law school in 2021) or stay at Deloitte a little longer until I find a job in an area I actually want to learn about

Coming from B4 consulting. Would going to a non-FAANG large tech company or a tech startup hurt my MBA chances? Have offers from both but I do want to pursue a MBA in the future and want to make sure going to one of these places doesn’t hurt my application.

Hi Fellow SAPiens, requesting info on the technologies /skills in SAP in an order that are highest paying for a 3.5 yoe candidate (or in general ) . As I see ppl working on other technologies (Non SAP) are able to earn 15+ to 20+ lpa with 3.5 yoe but non of the companies (including Big 4) that are contacting me are offering such CTC for their job roles in ABAP & on HANA and SAP PLM, they say the budget for the job role is maximum 11 to 12 lpa.

How do you transition from big 4 consulting to big law? My clients are all funds, and I do international tax consulting. I have used my connections to refer me into probably 10 big law firms and it’s not working. One most recently came back and said they aren’t interested bc I have no law firm experience. How am I supposed to get it though? I can’t go to lower ranked firms bc my clients are all “big.” … any suggestions appreciated!

I think I joined big 4 for all the wrong reasons. Mostly respect and social status after B school. Finally handed over my resignation today for a big fat salary bump in a mid sized company in a role that I like with more responsibility and senior title of course. I feel so liberated. Best feeling is when you don’t care what others will think :)

The police come to my neighbors house every 1/2 months. They’re a nice older gay couple and there’s usually 4 cops that come every time. Why would they be coming so often? Could it be domestic violence or probation? I want to ask one of them to make sure everything’s ok but don’t want to be rude. They once took one away in handcuffs and talk about going to the doctors and making sure both sides are documented if any more “falls” happen. I’ve never seen bruises or heard yelling. What to do?

I am currently job searching. I have multiple job interviews within the next week for roles across the board. Ive decided to withdraw from my PhD after much deliberation and I’m certain this is the best decision for me. I feel quite relieved/happy with my decision.
