I don't know why after I quit my recent job as a receptionist, I don't feel like applying for receptionist job due to it was a toxic job environment, are all receptionist job make you feel this way . My EOY review is coming up. Here I plan to lobby for a promotion/raise (been at company for 1.5 yrs). Some backstory: During my hiring process I was told by my now boss and VP they were also going to hire a senior engineer to help me along. They never hired such senior engineer because I have over performed and do more than they thought I could (have been told this in 2 performance reviews). Thus, is it fair to ask for a raise and promotion to Senior engineer?

Our company bought another and there was a integration in-person meeting last week. Many folks were invited to go. I was not. I lead analytics/reporting team.
Now, my team and I are getting projects stemming from this conference. I was not invited so didn't get to speak on what we can do. Now reporting is needed and data is not available.
First in-person meeting after 2+ years. Would have enjoyed facetime with peers. How do I share my frustrations with my manager who didn't invite me?
