Somebody give this associate a promotion.

United miles are all fare-based now.

What? Why wouldn't it make sense for them to reward you based on how money you paid?

Fare class & status determines award miles, like last year, but United has lowered the value for most classes, so learn the new values. $$$ Cost of ticket - taxes determines PQP. PQM is no longer relevant. Remove it from your thoughts and calculations.

So I plan to prepare treats this Halloween for the kids in my neighborhood. What kind of treats do I get to minimize dental damage? Putting in fruits, nuts, or apple chips would feel like I tricked them and ruined the treat, no? Do I just put in regular candy but add in a small travel size Crest toothpaste (like they do at the dentist) and pray that their parents taught them to brush regularly? My conscience is torn. Please help.

Hey all - I am at a regional firm in the northeast (300 employees) that recently started a search to include permanent remote, full time or part time roles in every facet of our tax group. We honestly are growing quickly (below average turnover) and just need more good people as our client base grows. Good management, very fair compensation, and an actually flexible work environment (we have quite a few part time / reduced hours) and advancement opportunities... Give me a shout!

How does help me in any way, we’re getting together in a circle of poor mental health and it’s going to solve everything? McKinsey & Company

I’m up for promotion next year (will find out around February next year) and expecting my first baby in April. I get 16 weeks maternity leave and also considering whether to tack on a 3 month sabbatical or not. Should I take the sabbatical? I get 1/3 of my salary and can only use the sabbatical once every 5 years so I’m thinking it’s probably very unlikely I could take 3 months off in my career 5 years later….(cont)

Our firm is going to be hiring after 10/15! 55-65 hour weeks during busy periods. Primarily looking for seniors and up, but we will also consider experienced staff. Firm is located in Los Angeles but remote is also a possibility (I’m fully remote and so are a few others). Clients we serve are ultra high net worth, real estate investors, and the entertainment industry. DM if you’re interested.
