I don’t think any one person at the client reads the whole deck, but depending on their role, they focus on 5-10 pages of most importance to them. Multiply that by 5-10 people at the client you work with and you have the whole deck read between them.

Strategy decks are so much fluff and imagination Of the individual consultant writing it. I highly doubt that anyone reads that. I myself cannot go beyond five slides. 
More technical folks under the managers review the details of more in-depth slides to consolidate understanding and validate findings for their bosses

Just the executive summary... sometimes, more likely have us give the 5 minute
Executive summary, that's the summary of 65 page deck.. others are fillers

I actually had more than one studies where we had questions and comments from client on most of the hundreds of pages of the deck - some were even about the assumptions in the footnotes. I highly doubt I would be able to work as much as I do if I actually believed no one ever read them
