I haven’t had a salary increase since early 2015. What’s the best way to get a raise? Not in a major metro area, so jumping ship means going outside the industry.
Being approached for secondment. Love the very small team that is essentially standing up a practice. Would only be for a couple years then come back. Concern - country is poorer and my salary would
How many of you put out your resumes just to see what’s out there? Any findings from skill set to pay? I put myself out there recently and it was enlightening from salary to skill sets needed
Managers/Partners - do you feel it was worth the grind to get where you are today? What kept you focused on the short vs long run comp wise? How do you feel you’re doing compared to coworkers who left along the way? Would you do it over again?
Any insight into TCS M&A group? They reached out offering $200k for an M&A specialist role and would be a significant jump from my current salary. Unsure what they do in M&A space since they focus largely on delivery vs strategy
Just started looking for another job after being with my commercial for 6 years. I’m encountering more and more recruiters pushing the salary expectations question at the recruiter interview. Basically won’t move forward in the process if you don’t give a number or the right number (usually low). Anyone else experiencing this?
Hi all, Can anyone please let me know, how much in hand monthly salary will be for below CTC. Thanks.
Accenture vs PwC comparison (Development, Comp, Exit Ops, etc.) - would love to see firm in title to reveal any potential bias, even if you’re being objective. Thanks!
Have you ever had your offer rescinded for negotiating salary? Was it with with a B4 firm?
Leave for another consulting firm even tho I’m up for promotion in a few months at my current firm? Pros of leaving are better work life balance, not stuck in one industry, minimal travel. Cons are comp - I’d be making slightly less base than what I would after promo (tho higher then right now) and significantly less bonus
Stanford making my heart jump today 😅 don’t they know this is not the time to say “you’re invited!” unless it’s an interview
In your experience are large agencies or small agencies better in terms of pay and benefits? And what is the line between small and large agency?
So I’m a senior 1 and my staff 2 has a big head. He can pretty much get away with saying or doing anything bc he’s been on the client the longest and thinks he’s indispensable. How to handle
Invest in revamping tech skills or going full management? I'm an Expert EM, with experience managing both data science and generalist consulting teams. Before the Firm, I was fairly technical (grad school in top CS eng school and brief startup experience) but I'm a bit rusty after ~3 years of consulting. Which exits should I invest in, tech route (e.g. SWE/DS) or management (e.g. Director role or PM)? I'm trying to optimize for WLB while not downgrading pay.
Get to know me! - Worked in Tech for over 20 yrs - Born and raised in The Dominican Republic - Moved to he US at 17 after HD - Living in NYC - Started as a Help Desk Support Technician - Love humans way more than technology - Fierce advocate for Diversity and Inclusion - My mission si to elevate the voices of women and underrepresented minorities in Tech - Love traveling and photography - Ready to give back! How about you?

Is it worth having a travel industry CC (ie Marriott)? I used to travel all the time for work but won’t be anymore and don’t plan to in the future so I’m not going to accumulating hotel points but don’t have enough for 100% free stays and want to start booking some trips in the near future. I currently only have CSR and CF.
I have had no real avenue to spend money like I used to with covid over the last year so looking for short-term (non crypto) investment opportunities with high returns ~$150k, any free advice would be appreciated 😄
Anybody know of any sexy deck ;) examples I can find online? Working on a side project and my firm’s templates are hideous
I’m 1.5 post MBA and working in Monitor Deloitte. Looking to relocate and lateral to MBB Toronto/Montreal office (from US). Any past MD folks who have made the transition?
Best consulting terms that aren't actually a real word, used in a sentence. "We should robustify the project plan and executize our messaging."
Exiting T2 to a role in F100 with roughly equally comp. A lot of my peers are in the process with MBB. I can’t help but feel like I should have gone that way for a quick brand boost before jumping to industry 🤷♂️ Thoughts?
Are manager health, dental, etc benefits firm paid usually? Ive always thought this to be the case, but ive never heard for sure. I know parking and cell phone is usually covered a lot of places.
Average total comp for a PE associate?
Woman sitting beside me on the flight is continuously snorting and sneezing without covering her nose. Aaaargh, guess who's getting the virus! 🤷♀️
Have 250$ WFH allowance, what should I spend it on? Thinking of a dock or maybe another ANC headphone? Thoughts or suggestions?
What is difference between "Vehicle Maintenance Allowance " and "Car Allowance"? I have both components in my CTC breakup under basket of allowances. Can any of these be somehow utilized for reducing tax liability?
I'm looking to improve my communication skills to navigate a very political environment better (i.e. I need to be more diplomatic). Any books recommendarions are appreciated 💁🏼♀️
