I don’t want my CPA. But I’m really good at my job for my level. And I would be happy to stay at this level for a long time with a decently paying salary and a better handle around my job parameters… if only PA wasn’t about “pushing” you out of the firm. Especially with turnover already ridiculous on top of “the great resignation.” This is stupid.

Why don’t you want your CPA? All it does is help you. Doesn’t mean you have to be a CPA.

likefunny

Agreed. I work for a middle market firm that love’s “permanent seniors” and has no thought of pushing them out

like

What kind of firm are you in OP?

My old regional firm has 2011 graduates that are still audit seniors with no plans to “push them” out

Same situation at my old firm (Top 50), a lot of supervisors without CPAs who are happy where they are but just know they can't be promoted to manager without a CPA. Those I know who are still there are actually really good at their job and are bright, just didn't get the CPA for one reason or another.

Curious why you wouldn’t want your CPA as it don’t hurt you in your career

It’s not even that hard, you just making excuses

Hi Fishes,
I had given interview for network security architect position in Feb last week. And as per recruiter, I got selected for that role. I have been asked to share the documents on March 1st. I did a few followup for the offer letter update and they asked me 2 wait for 2-3 weeks. And now they are saying position has gone on hold after I did another followup.
Could it be because of expected salary ?
