What are you considered at JPM? Once you get your 7 and 66, you can be considered a Financial Advisor at most firms. Depending on your company, you are also allowed to create and implement financial plans. If you receive your CFP, you’re technically considered a Financial Planner. Almost all firms recognize these steps.
You are the one responsible for being a financial planner. Choosing the right firm can help facilitate that more than some firms but at the end of the day every advisor is different and focusing on financial planning and learning to be thorough is on you, and the firm you are with is simply the platform you operate under, even if it is one that might push insurance more like FFS or Axa etc.
