Switched from AA to Delta about a month ago. Never have I been harassed so much about airplane mode, computers shut, etc. AA didn't care until we were right about to take off
Anybody actively hiring? I have a background in consulting- mainly PMO work, but also did projects as a functional resource and as a trainer/change management lead.
If you’ve gotten an offer from one shop while you’re in the 2nd round of interviews with a few others, is there a ‘best practices’ for being diplomatic whilst using it to your advantage?
Who else has introspected about how short life is, quality of relationships, work/life balance, security of finances, how things can change rapidly after seeing the COVID world. Share your thoughts?
Did delta give any bonus sky miles if you were affected by the system outage 2 weeks ago?
I have an interview for social media strategist with a rising DTC startup in NYC. I’m feeling imposter syndrome, since I’ve never marketed such a big, hip company. What books can I read or courses can I take to come into the interview solid and prepared? Most of my marketing theory is based on Seth Godin books and reading psychology.
Question for you all: Left D to Company A for a 50% raise in TC and slated to start in <1 week. However, just got an offer at Company B for a 100% raise in TC compared to D, or 30% raise in TC compared to company A. Both firms do similar work but B provides a more solid comp package. Job duties would be relatively similar. Is the % jump worth burning the bridge? Would have chosen Company B if the offer came sooner but the % difference in A to B is at my [personal] 30% threshold. TIA!
Individual from undergrad got an MBB offer and asked what to do to prepare in the time before starting. What do you recommend? Do you recommend something different for MBA's?
What specialty loses people first in layoffs? What specialty loses people last in layoffs? Here’s the list: project management, account, creative, strategy, planning, analytics.
Trying to exit into FAANG but know it may be a long shot involving a handful of rejections. Meanwhile got approached by a number of recruiters for a) smaller emerging startup <but need to shift geo>, and b) major banks for in-house strategy. I’ll proceed with interviews with a) since it will give me a flavour of tech recruiting, but should I even go through with interview process for b)? Thoughts? Fyi, have not interviewed in 4+ years!
What do you think are the MOST important factor(s) that determines student success? Of those factors, which one do YOU have control of in the classroom?
When does the 60 day grace period start - after lay off announcement or after last severance paycheck? Thanks
Has anyone experienced American Airlines cracking down on hidden city or skiplagged flights?? AKA making you pay the difference in ticket price for stopping at your destination rather than stopping at your “connection”
Need some advice. I take home roughly 4k/month after taxes and IRA contributions (6% 401k and 3% Roth). My rent is around 900 and I usually spend 300-400 on my credit card. Cont...
Mck 🐠: Looks like McK hires laterals into AP roles. What are the downsides to being a lateral associate partner? Is progression slower? How about compensation? Typically what years of exp do APs have?
I’m turning down a higher role with higher pay (12% higher) solely because the HR team has been extremely unhelpful throughout the decision making process. From not getting responses for weeks, to consistently receiving “I don’t know, let me follow up” then not receiving follow ups, and everything in between. All of the interviews leading up to the offer was great, but then red flags started popping up making me feel very uneasy joining this company. Have you ever denied an offer because of HR??
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
True or false: If you ran your classroom the way admin ran the school, you’d get endless complaints from students/parents.
Does anyone actually get complimentary upgrades due to United status? I just hit gold and so far it seems like a hoax.
