I’m a belief and perception changing expert. I work with people that have struggled, or are struggling with confidence, self esteem, childhood trauma, as well as imposter syndrome. I do this through the RTT method. :)
If you like healthcare try something else in the field. There are a lot of options out there.
Keep drawing blood?
Not the worst idea, especially if OP is already doing that.
Go to respiratory school. It's waaaaay easier
1+ to this!!
You could go over to the administration side if you want to stay in the industry.
If you're completely switching gears, then the sky is the limit, really. It's just a matter of figuring out what other types of roles interest you, allow you to use your skills, and will stoke your passion. That's the hard part.
CELEBRATE ! If you’re a female you have to deal with a backstabbing world. I was even assaulted by another nurse on the job. I wished I had not been in such shock at the time because if I was fully cognizant, I would own the hospital now. When you are in shock, you’re numb and can’t speak or move. Shock kind of paralyzes you and that’s what happened to me when I was assaulted.
So sorry to hear about your experience. I wish infighting between nurses wasn't so common but I've seen it almost everywhere I've been. Takes real strength to overcome something like that, and even more to share it and put words to your pain. Wish you the best.
My niece had to drop out nursing school because she couldn't afford tuition. I feel so bad for her😔
In light of the pressing need we have for nurses, you'd think these schools would figure out how to keep students in programs with the help of viable financial assistance programs.
Did you drop out with or without a plan in mind?
That's up to you to determine. Find opportunities within your network, shift gears and find a new career path, keep doing what you were doing before school... What do you want your life to look like?
First things first, can you secure a place to live and some type of income? Find your footing first and figure out where you want to go from there.

If you like healthcare, how about pharmacy technician? Lots of jobs with on the job training.
I dropped out too, now I’m a product manager in health tech. Trust me the lessons you learn in nursing school translate really well to project/ product and administrative roles in health systems and health tech companies.
Also to add, a lot less stress and better WLB :)
There are so many other careers in this world. I’m going back to school soon to get my masters in elementary education. After a bachelors in dental hygiene and associates in nursing.. goodbye healthcare.
