I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. My uncle I met a week ago suddenly died. He hid his heart condition from his wife, my aunt. He was having tea in the morning when he had a stroke. She did not have a last word or consider the possibility that he’d pass away so suddenly and soon. She is beating herself up over how he left and they didn’t have a chance to talk that morning. I’m a closeted no book reader. I’ve maybe read 5 books over the last 10 years… My teams over the years are always talking about all the books they read and providing recommendations, but luckily people tend to be more interested in sharing what they read rather than listening so I’ve made it this far.
