Those are rookie numbers. I make ~250 a year and want more…
All depends why you feel not enough. If it’s “life is too expensive” you need perspective. If it’s “I like nice things” then you do you.
I’m with you, expensive tastes + NYC will do that to you

You make much more than the majority of the population (as all of us do). If it’s enough to allow you to live the way you want to live, it is sufficient. Do what makes you happy.
Long-lasting, meaningful relationships: that’s what makes you fulfilled (once money is no longer a concern).
I respectfully disagree :)

To be fair, tax takes out a lot. You do still need to budget at $100k. Speaking as someone at $200k

I was really happy to hear about my bonus last year and felt very valued. After tax......I needed a day.
Depends on YOE and where you live, tbh. If you’re making that straight out of college and live in a small town that’s pretty responsible.

It’s not enough if you’re using this app lol I do agree, I passed that amount recently and I expected it to feel different. Being able to max out retirement accounts and still adding to savings feels great though.

BA1 just nobody says anything when they are still early stages is all. Also quality > quantity btw. Nothing wrong with high numbers but I question if any standards were held sometimes
You’re not greedy. I’m in my mid/late 20s with a 120 total comp and I still feel broke. I know that’s distorted thinking, but after taxes, student loans, and rent, it’s certainly not the lifestyle that a 6 figure salary is portrayed as. I don’t drive a luxury vehicle, I cannot afford to buy the median home in my town (even living in the south), and I don’t really have expensive hobbies other than a couple vacations with friends a year.
I don’t think I’ll feel really comfortable until 200k+. I’m also single and live alone, so maybe I’d also feel comfortable in a dual income situation around 200k a year, which seems to be more of the norm in my area.
I am the youngest person on my team, so maybe I’m not a typical SM or maybe I just lucked out. Either way, I want more money.
Not greedy at all!
Lol I wish

You make enough to live a happy and comfortable life with a spouse and children. You could also love a more luxurious life of you had more money. So it's just about what your priorities are.
