I ended up in a heated discussion about something work related with a director and I did not let my guard down and made my points clear. I feel like he now has a grudge against me.

I hate you. Watch your back.

Three options: 1. Let it go and proceed as usual. If he has a grudge that’s on him — now if your arguments were all ad hominem that’s a different situation. Could also be in your head that he’s acting differently. 2. Do the ‘Hey, we cool? We cool’ thing (adapted for context/individual style). If you follow up and say you wanted to check in and be clear that you still respect him/wasn’t personal, there’s a chance he’ll reevaluate. 3. I had a third and now I don’t remember it. Panic?

I’ve been told to just agree. Play the game. Continue to be the gear turning the machine. Collect your paycheck and go home. He might be wrong, he might be right. Doesn’t matter

If you're from EY claim sexual harassment. He'll be gone and you'll be sorted.

Been in the same position. Have a chat in a day or two; acknowledge if you were wrong somewhere, explain your rationale. If he is any good, he will value you more. If he holds the grudge, learn a lesson and never work with him again

Had a meeting and email exchange. Director did not mention anything, but my respect for him has dropped significantly. Hard to be motivated by anything he says, but I will keep the grind.

Planning to be in Mexico City for ~2 weeks at a super short notice for a mix of reasons. Couple of Qs: 1) Any recommended affordable on points Marriot hotel in a nice neighbourhood (was looking at AC Santa Fe and a couple of Courtyard hotels)? Would prefer something closer to sightseeing sites 2) Any day trips or overnight trips from Mexico City that you’d suggest? 3) Is USD accepted in most tourist places or is it relatively easy to exchange USD to MXN while I’m at Mexico City?

To what extent would picking a T10 (Haas, Tuck) over a T15 (excluding Stern and Cornell) positively influence my IB/consulting recruiting outcomes, assuming all else equal? Would IB employers note this difference in rankings? Always heard that the lower down the T15 you go, the more 'plus points' (e.g. relevant pre-MBA experience, high GMAT, URM) you'll need on your application to compensate for the school's rank, and while it sounds naive, I just wanted to see if there's any truth to this?

Having grown up in the lower middle class and not with much money family wise, I always thought one day when I made six figures I would have tons of money coming in, but lately I am discouraged with my “take home pay”. Combined my wife and I make about $275k, we max both our 401k accounts out and after all taxes, and other deductions we take home roughly $150k. Don’t get me wrong this is a great amount. I just always dreamed my take home would be more. Anyone else feel this way? We lose over 40%
