I joined the product based org as a Coldfusion developer after Accenture.
Here I'm not having any Coldfusion work. they expecting me to work on migration from coldfusion to other technology.
I declined the multiple offers for this company including Capgemini and in Capgemini I was getting a manager position.
Now I'm feeling my decision of joining product based org was not wise.
It's really difficult to switch now with Coldfusion as very limited openings are there.

I have worked in municipal government for almost 17 years. I love what I do as an Inspector, but the environment is toxic, and administration horrible. I have an opportunity to go into the private sector side, as well a second interview for another municipality doing same job. Private sector job will pay 35,000 more but will be 3 hrs away my husband is in law enforcement and can’t leave due to his position. Concerns are: private sector and when recession hits, it’s construction, away from hubby

Am I fucked? I’m a copywriter with 8 years experience, but the last few years I haven’t worked in/with creative agencies (extenuating life reasons). Lately I’ve been in a very small market doing website copy (mostly duller clients but some interesting) and apps that are NDA’d to hell and back. I have some projects in my book that I like, but nothing recent. I’m trying to get back into creative agencies soon, is the gap likely to hurt my chances or am I overthinking this?
