Anyone recruiting for Data Strategy roles?

I know I have an unpopular opinion. I review hundreds of resumes weekly. Frankly, I could care less what’s on It or how It looks. I look at great resumes and shitty workers and shitty resumes and great workers. It’s more about what’s actually on the resume and how well the employee can translate their skills, knowledge, and experience and tailor It to the role! But I know many recruiters won’t give candidates the time of day if their resume isn’t top notch. I do think the one on the right looks easier to read
100% agree with this. I learned early in my career that the best employees can have the worst resumes and vice versa. A good recruiter will take the time to actually look into the places you worked and your qualifications rather than going based off of the design. With that being said, I would always opt for a simple word doc design.
IMO, the format on the right is more modern and compelling
Thank you for your help!
Right side- looks clean and like it took some time to “personalize” it. Left is way too cramped…
Sometimes less is more ✨
Just my two cents.
Good luck! Best wishes!
Thank you!!
Definitely right.
Is this a template? Would you share where it’s available?
Canva resumes do not typically pull into an ATS correctly.
Neither for me 😅
I agree that neither look that great for the role you are in. The right is easier to read, but the graphics need to go. Don’t be afraid to use 2 pages and proper spacing. I think the right minus the graphics is the way to go.
Neither - simple word doc resume is the way to go and the content is what matters
The right side looks cleaner. If applying online be mindful of ATS as most of these templates have tables with content that won’t pass through.
Doesn’t matter. They are read by computers!
If a company has an ATS, they are definitely read by a computer.
I wouldn't use neither... unless you send them directly to a hiring manager. If you are going through an ATS, the one on the right will not be read by the application, and the one of the left will be mangled. It is not about being pretty and modern, but about being easy to read for the recruiter and manager.
