And have been slacking with my client work. I am thinking that maybe I should pause my client work for 2 months while I look for a new fulltime job (since I’m very underpaid right now). I can then start an LLC later and maybe hire an employee and resume client work so that way I don’t feel so overwhelmed. Is this a good idea? I just wanna take a break and reflect back on what I want to do in life
I went through a similar change, but I made bank working for myself. I found that these 4-6 months gigs are desperate. I was easily able to get $125-150/hr for short term gigs. You just have to be willing to negotiate and walk away from the crap engagements.
I’m actually at A different big 4 now. I got a great offer based on one of my interim clients. I am a software consultant. It’s all about making good use of online resources to find the next gig, and don’t be afraid to turn down lowball offers. I had two clients come back later after I turned them down. Plus, if you work for yourself and you work a 10 hour day, then you bill and get paid for a 10 hour day.
Where are you based?

You sound burnt out honestly, take sometime for yourself. You can always find clients, sounds like you know what you’re doing and have solid skills. You got this!
