I am exactly in this moment too. I feel like our trajectories will always be separate because I’m headed nowhere and they’re sailing upwards. Like it is a pure coincidence I was in their orbit and it only lasts briefly before it becomes apparent I’m not made of the same fiber as they are.
You are in your own orbit, you can’t play the game of comparison. You need to decouple your own worth in your head from all of this, until then you’ll find no peace or solution.
You might be depressed :(
To deal with it is to confront why you feel the way you do and understand it and build a system of support around it. It takes time, energy and effort.
You will realize the more time goes by, you start living less by failure (oh this didn’t work out because I’m not good enough) to a sense understanding (this didn’t work out because blah, okay, sucks but I get it), and you move on. Interestingly this somehow starts doing wonders for your own life, because you aren’t in a constant pissing contest for value or validation anymore, you can be your own person, and guess what you’re amazing.
I think you are using your view of someone else’s value system, which may be distorted and you wouldn’t even know it.
You do you, being original or different isn’t the kicker, being confident is, if you have that life gets a whole lot easier and you get to be you.
