I feel like a standard slide in a deliverable is the “pros and cons slide” showing how 2+ options compare to one another. Whenever I make this comparison, I always struggle to not just make the pros of option A also the cons of option B and vice versa. Tips on avoiding this?

I think to avoid this you need a standard comparison point. maybe both have the same pro!

like

Don’t make a direct pros/cons. Make a maturity scale(s) and place the different options on the scale(s) and also have the client do this.

like

I rarely do a pros and cons slide. Usually put a stake in the ground with a recommendation for the client to react to.

I include - recommendation, expected results, risks, alternative approaches

like

How about framing it in terms of constraints or challenges for option A, what things could be done to overcome them. Also - what enablers there are for option A. Then do the same for option B.

Think of the evaluation criteria rather than comparing to the 1st option

I'm visualizing your slide as having 2 columns and your pros and cons beneath it.

Why not rather have a matrix with all of the Pros / Capabilities that may be on the table as your Row titles and then score each option side by side (green, orange, red). I've seen this done most often for product rationalization with a choice among 3 different products. Seems to work well

EY, I got my Roth IRA contributions set to max (30%). Does Fidelity automatically lower the % and stop contributions afterwards once I reach my 2022 limit?

Also at Deloitte, I had a couple thousand contributed in the beginning of the year. Does EY's 401k keep track of that as well towards the limit?

Hello,

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?
