2. My team is having an 2-day offsite meeting in another city and many folks outside of our team are all traveling in for it. Some are only attending for an hour. I'm really excited. I basically couldn't walk for like a week after I had COVID. Even just laying down hurt. It was like merely existing was excruciating (reminded me of the last 8 weeks or so of pregnancy honestly).

I told myself I couldn't go back to the office until I could be on my feet for several minutes (for meetings, bathroom trips, etc.). Yesterday was my first day back in the office. It was horribly painful. But today is Day 2, and I'm doing OK!!! I'm so excited!

I really feel like I’ve been dealt a really bad hand in my life. It feels like no one gives me a chance. Whether it’s a job I know I’m qualified for, or someone I’m interested in. I get a horribly anxious reaction to the thought of interactions that I need to have as part of the normal course of my job. It’s plain, irrational fear, and I know it’s holding me back. But I’m generally otherwise happy.
