You are doing fine
I feel like this is a flex lol I think you’re totally fine for your stage in life. Assuming you aren’t a 45 year old senior 2
...you’re way ahead, the average mid-late 20s is still paying off student debt and not making nearly what senior2s make
Like so far ahead this could be a humblebrag.
Def in the same boat here
Most people your age have a negative net worth due to student loans. You are fine
Same D4
We'll get there m8. I'm still negative because of student loans, but what we see as behind is still far ahead of like 80% of the worlds population. Count your blessings, not your faults.
Since you want someone to tell you you're behind - you know what, yes you are. I'm 24 yo S2 with 220k NW. But so what, I see guys in the personal investment bowl with 400k -1m in their mid 20s and a 26 yo posted with 4.1 million. You can lament your choices, but there'll be tons of people ahead of you regardless of your age. Just compete against your past you and strive for self improvement.
Kylie Jenner is supposedly a billionaire at a young age so we are obviously all failing
Really need to know how old you are to judge tbh. That said, you are doing quite well compared to the average S2 imo.
You’re fine. I just spent all of my savings on my house, but it’s because it’s also an investment in the future equity in the house. I also have a car payment for a little over 3 more years (may try to payoff early), but my city isn’t walkable and I’ll keep the car for at least 10. I think it is all about prioritizing. It sounds like you’ve prioritized the things that make your life a little easier while still saving a good amount.
Relax bro

Most Americans don't have 3k to cover an unexpected expense. Wife and I have a nice house and 9 months savings + investments, but were older than you.
You're doing fine. Not everyone is an ape willing to throw their life savings on a WSB gamble twice a week and boom or bust. If you want more then don't lease a new vehicle, cut down on expenses, invest more, and work harder for a larger raise/promotion.

You’re more than fine. All these people on here flexing about maxing out 401ks at 22 aren’t living in the real world.
It is totally acceptable to live on your own after graduating college (this is good and normal) and having a car is useful. Money is just a way to do things you want to do. It is 100% possible to do things you want to do in your 20s as well as in your 70s…
You’re fine bro. Keep it up.
You should be very proud of yourself! I think you are doing well. Pay off your debts as fast as you can and your financial situation is as good as it can get.

I’m 24 and after living at home and living lean the past year have a NW of $45k. I know it’s great considering I graduated in college with less than $500 to my name less than two years ago but sometimes seeing what others have who inherited a lot of $$$ (sometimes millions) post on here is depressing. You are doing fine, keep focusing on your goals and don’t stress what others have
I'm going to assume youve put in approximately 12k a year over 4 years at a 15 percent return to get to 60k. Nice.
Over a 40 year career, an annual investment of 12k at the average market return of 10% will yield $5.3M. this is neglecting the fact that your contributions will grow later in life.
It's a long career. You are not just doing fine, you are ahead of 95% of your peers (assuming you are around 25-26).
