Easy solution. Get rid of Instagram and other bs social media, trust me it is wonderful. Live the real life, it’s tough right now in the pandemic but trust me social media is not everything.
My best friend is a successful musician (not super famous) but he has travelled pretty much every country in the world played at Glastonbury etc etc. The lifestyle looks super fun and amazing and parts of it are but the other side -
Crappy flights and hotels (most of the time even at his level it’s 50/50 whether it’s shit)
Constant travelling, not like ours where it’s all compfy but brutal hours cramped trains and busses carrying 25kg+ of equipment
Unsteady money he’s probably in the top 2-3% of musicians in the world earning wise but I make the same money as him. If his stuff goes out of fashion he’s done for
The gigs are great but you don’t see the 10+ hours of practice and set up they had to do that day before it I imagine successful youtubers have the same requirements
Point is - grass always looks greener, it’s a great life but has it’s own unique challenges
Clarification - says it’s a weird power dynamic if a girl like jumps at him after a show or a gig the like admiration /throwing herself at him he said it makes him feel a bit creepy and weird

Worship you? Is this your entry for most Deloitte post of the month?
Us millennials have 2.5 kids, live in the suburbs, and have either deactivated FB or don’t use it anymore... are you talking about Gen Z?
What you see on social media are people’s top 10 moments - they don’t reflect reality
Well put
Get some real problems. And you're too old to be caring about social media that much.
preach!

Deleted Facebook about a month ago, don’t use YouTube, Tik Tok or others. Only thing left is Instagram, but all notifications are off. Best thing I’ve done.
Dude this is EXACTLY ME! .... I have 10K plus FF on IG tho 🤷🏾♂️
This is a humble bragging joke

💯
Sounds like a very ... Deloitte post
The only thing that screams “loser” to me is using social media to judge your self worth and feeling bad that nobody “worships” you...

You need some perspective. Count your blessings. There is a global pandemic, an economic recession, and institutionalized anti-black violence, and all your can think about at age 32 is your lack of social media and “in-person followers”, your two houses and your sad, cushy consulting job?
Your privilege is showing. And for someone who is 32 years old you should be pretty embarrassed. To answer your question, yes, you are a loser with this attitude.
Do you realize how lucky you are that these are your problems? Seems like you are just complacent in your life and you should start doing things that make you excited about life and gives you purpose. It sounds like you have everything you need to get moving towards this goal so you’re the only one stopping yourself at this point.
You sound like someone I would not want to be friends with.
Is this post a joke? Needing people to worship you on social media?? What the heck

What is it you actually want? Money? Stability? Houses? Admiration? Love? Travel? Friends?
Maybe those YouTubers you look up to have anxieties and would love a dependable income and a solid home base.
Good question. What are you actually looking for?
I think you should ask your parents what life was before the social media Era. You don't need followers on social media, lot of friends to have a good life.
In fact most celebrities you see on social media are miserable.
You know how Deloitte is harder to get into than Harvard? Well Google is harder to get into than Deloitte so keep that in mind.😉
Less than 0.5% of accounts reach 10M+ followers. The 10M club is more exclusive than the "I got an offer from both Deloitte and Google" club!
Give one of your house to a homeless family; that should make you feel better
Weird flex but ok
You will realize one day that an ordinary life is the biggest blessing one can ask for.
No no no these influencers do not reflect life as it is 100%! They have a lot of struggles behind the scenes that they often do not share on social media. Everything needs to appear perfect for the viewership unfortunately.
