Hi Fishers, I want to pivot my career into management consultant. I am currently working as a Market research analyst with 1 YOE. Can someone please suggest me how or where should I start to build my career in management consulting at Big 4.
Also, please suggest entry level jobs that I will be eligible for with skills in Strategy, primary and secondary research, and competitor analysis.
Thanks in advance!

Is there any ongoing hiring freeze in B4?
Best exit ops for B4 FDD M/SM’s?
I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

“ It’s harder to get into Deloitte than Harvard“ is what they they told me on first day training. Yet I got two offers from them and I’m an idiot. Just apply and you will be fine
Wait. What?? It’s all koolaid!?!?
Unless you’re in Deloitte Consulting the brand isn’t different than the rest of the big4
I’m sure they’d be Deloitted to hear that

Deloitte had a recruiting team come to my class years ago in college. One of them had a ratty belt that looked like something you'd wear mowing the yard with a beer in your hand. Never been able to get that out of my head.
😂😂 I can picture that in my head omg
I always saw DT as the type of people that hang out in a bar with sawdust on the floor. Seemed nice.
Slicked back hair and complaining about the sawdust.
I just feel like I could get offers at all other b4 easily except for deloitte
KPMG1 - for their cold hearts?
DT people are unapproachable. So that’s probably why.
I feel that way but with PWC.
Hi you

I relate to this tbh. During recruiting Deloitte is the only firm I didn’t apply to because I thought I’d get rejected immediately. In hindsight it was irrational and a potential missed opportunity but ya live ya learn I guess

EY is both approachable and currently hiring

To follow up on D1: there are no circumstances I would ever apply to EY after the PTO debacle. I value my entitlement to taking 20+ days off being respected.
