401k is ok to stay where it's at until you figure out your new 401k at new employer. Benefits express is available by phone (so is the website) even when you no longer work for the company. Alternatively, you can leave your money in pwc 401k forever, however it's been doing pretty shitty so GTFO when you can.

Health insurance terms the end of the month you leave. You can enroll in COBRA thereafter or negotiate with new company to provide coverage day 1. You can leave your 401k balance or roll it over to your new plan. Make sure you follow the rollover rules and don't deposit the check, otherwise you'll pay taxes and penalties.

Ideally for 401k rollovers you want to never see the money - should go directly from one company to the next

Disclaimer: I would be fully on my own starting a business. Probably gonna have to go on Medicaid and have to maybe pull out all my 401k money and get taxed on it. Idk?

OP, you can leave 401K money in your company plan, just pay a mgt/maintenance fee

Well we are about to cross a tax year, so it wouldn't save you on penalties (unless you can use the 401k amounts for one of the exclusions) but if you are going to start a business I'm going to guess your tax bracket will be lower so don't take the money out until next year so it doesn't get added to this years income

Thank you guys. Thinking about rolling over 401k into an IRA next year. For HSA money I can assume just to spend it on health related things before EOY?

HSA or FSA? An FSA is use it or lose it, HSA rolls over so it could help cover any costs you have next year out of pocket

It's an HSA. So you're saying I could let it stay with the company after EOY and then withdraw it in 2017?

Yes I'm still using up mine from my previous company that I left in 2015. I could have rolled it into my new one but just never ended up doing it.

That's a big help, thanks!

Serious question: I know I am an attorney but this so outside my area. I was rear ended about a year ago and I need to either settle with the insurance company or sue them. Could someone provide some guidance? I really really need some help with this

I quit my full-time role as a BD in the month of Dec, 2021. Have been working in several part-time co. as a BD since; due to critical health issues of both my parents.

As of now, both my parents are medically fit and I wish to get back on track and work on a full-time role in somewhere good.

Would be grateful if you could help me. TY! 🙏

Just curious. What are everybody’s pension benefits out there? PwCs are fairly dismal for employees. 25% 401(k) match on first 6% deferred. Then a non elective contribution that varies by staff level. 3% for associates. 4% seniors. 5% for managers. 6% directors and then I think 8% for partners. What does everyone else get?
