Hi! I just accepted a Relationship Banker II role in Allen, TX. My offer letter was 50k base and 1k guaranteed commission a month first year. I just graduated w a degree in Business Administration. Basically the info I got on how commission works was pretty vague. Anyway I wanted to see what someone I’m their 1st or 2nd year can realistically expect to on average make in commission a year in this role. Also what do bonuses in the role look like? I’m hoping to just hear some ballpark numbers! JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase
Anyone know pwc S&O salaries for deals strategy?

How are IFS bonus and raises this year?
If you are a top performer, bring it to your boss and ask for a raise
This is why you’re seeing a lot of moves going on. Why I’m looking to leave where I am in addition to being paid under market value (plus other things internally.)
Ouch! Do you have someone you feel comfortable bringing it up to, internally? HR maybe?
I wouldn’t take it personally, but I would ask about it to HR or management.
Like someone said, you both were hired when market value dictated different salaries.
Managers can’t/won’t be doing ongoing assessments of the salaries of everyone in their team in comparison to latest hires to try and get HR to proactively adjust everyone’s comp. That’s why I say it’s nothing personally.
But definitely if after you ask you’re not met with any method to adjust your comp, then you know your answer with the path you need to take to get where you should be.
Ask for a raise. Managers know employees talk.
This is normal. I am in the same boat. I have busted my ass to get salary increases being one of the top performers but I do know new hire that was hired at higher salary. I know through others and obvious because directly I have asked him a few times when he went to level 4. He was hired at 3 direct like what his increase was to 4. He did not budge and tell me because I think he was afraid I might be able to calculate his salary based on his increase. So it was obvious why he doesn’t lol. I was truly inquiring it was worth it for me to go to that level.
You can ask HR to do an equity review, make sure you emphasize "equity" and not just compensation review.
All of the above - I experienced it at my last job and it was clear the company didn’t care to do anything about it. The entirety of our team that had been there more than a year up and left the company.
No sense in getting worked up. They got you at the market value you were worth when you were hired. They got the other person at their market value. You can always complain but best is to go find your current market value. If you are commission sell more with the head start.
I would look for an opportunity to ask for a raise. This is a problem with many companies, they are concerned about hiring new talent and not focused on retaining the existing one.
Same just happened with me. I'm looking elsewhere HR has not budged and most seasoned reps also are looking elsewhere.
