They just want a job bro. Don’t care about who they’re reporting to. Just be normal.
Don’t feel weird, most MBA interns are looking to be helpful and add value to the team. Think about what portion of the work stream you can carve out for your intern and have them be responsible for. Leverage your Principal or whoever is managing the case in the meantime to be a buffer if need be. Remember, a lot of the SAs have amazing experiences maybe not in consulting, you probably have lots to learn as well from them.

Get some ice get a single malt whisky sit down and go get a whiteboard and marker simple
Pretty classic reply for a Director :)
I'd say set up your first touch point early and call it out - acknowledge they're super experienced and will know more than you about some/most things, but that Bain works in a specific way to be productive and you want to be helpful/guide them on that dimension
I was in this exact same situation and this is what my mentor said to me:
“You’re a top performer at a top consulting firm. You may as well get used to managing people older than you now, because you’re probably going to be doing it for most of your career.”
This is nothing.
Its a job man. Thats all.

I reported to an SAC informally for part of my SA summer - she was awesome and I learned a lot from her, don’t sweat it!

Try treating them like a person and you’ll be just fine!
I was an SA a few years ago. I officially reported to a C2 but definitely went to the AC1 with a lot of questions. Definitely worth acknowledging that you both have a lot to learn from each other! Most SAs will totally respect your Bain experience and want to learn from you!
