Does anyone have trouble getting their SO to be more cleanly? My SO and I moved in together 1 ur ago and I feel like I’m constantly reminding him to do certain chores or pick up I after himself. I’m nice about it but it’s exhausting and a lot of the time he gets defensive or annoyed when I ask. I don’t have high expectations, just doing dishes as they pile and not pleasing clothes on the floor, putting dishes in the sick when you’re done etc. Anyone else had this problem?
Sick and tired of seniors saying “it’s really easy” when they forget we haven’t seen this before and giving zero explanation when you ask a question lol thanks guys 🤷♀️
I am so sick of being asked to give up my associates to other jobs. When does MY client get priority?! Even when time is booked, people call and bitch to schedulers until they get my associates. 😤
Told my therapist I’m sick this weekend and staying in. Her response: “Now you have no choice but to relax and focus on your self care!” 😂
I get so sick of working with men who don't do their jobs, try to make you deal with issues they own. Ugh! I finally set boundaries with a coworker and was met with an interesting combination of condescension and cluelessness. "Feel free to check out after you report the issue"....Um, I'd love to, but you're refusing to call them and they keep blowing up my phone.
Considering bringing aging parents (65+) from India and sponsoring their Green Card. They will not be eligible for Medicare for first 5 years after becoming a resident. What are the options for getting medical insurance for them for initial 5 years that cover preexisting conditions?
What do you tell people at work when you want a day off to take care of your mental health? That I’m out sick?
How many sick leaves does ACN have?
I have been working in HR since 2004. I have a bachelor's degree but it is not in HR, it's in a medical/technical field. My entire career in HR has been on the job training and I have worked besides people with HR degrees doing the same things they do. What extra skills do you think your HR degree gives you that you wouldn't have without the degree?
Any dry cleaners that can iron just the T zone in my shirts (collar and middle line where the buttons are)? Ill keep my suit jacket on and save tons on laundry!
I hope the market crashes in the next 4 years so I could finally buy some hard assets. So sick of renting. (And I would feel the same if HRC was president)
My sister and I are 29 and 31, respectively. I’m struggling with something that has irked me our entire lives. My parents pay for things like her dog’s medical bills, vacations and moving expenses. They always want to help. The problem is they’ve never offered to pay for those things for me, and I’ve never asked because I’m a fully grown adult and don’t want them to spend their retirement on us. She has savings and isn’t struggling financially. Why does this bother me so much?
Any suggestions to prevent excessive BO. Even in cooler place, I sweat. Even right after shower. Is this a medical condition? Anyone, any recommendations?
Sometimes my SO behaves like my worst enemy.... I am just sick of this... I mean.... I am home only 2 days a week... why all the negativity and spite ?
NJ fishes, could you please recommend places for medical for the greencard process? Thanks!
The earliest appt im getting for stamping is 18th March. Is anyone able to prepone the appointment date? Apart from a medical emergency, what else can be be a valid criteria? I wish to visit home in Jan :(
PwC Director comp/Advisory/Technology Consulting/High cost city - What is the range of director compensation for external hires?
Does anyone have insight into the SD Biglaw market? I know LW,SMRH, Cooley, DLA, JD, & MoFo are the big players. Anyone have insight into the strengths of each firm or culture? How does SD biglaw compare to LA/SV?
I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
Interesting read on police unions. I feel this could apply to just about any public sector union. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2021/07/bust-the-police-unions/619006/
I am so conflicted about socializing during COVID. My friend invited me to a dinner with two new people (who work at the big 4) at an outdoor restaurant. Where I live, the COVID rate is ~3%. My friend invited the group chat and the two other girls shamed my friend for socializing in a small group during COVID. My friend group won’t agree to be in a pod and won’t meet unless everyone is 6 feet apart. It’s going to get cold soon and I feel like I’m going to be lonely if I don’t make new friends ☹️
NYC Fish: My week off happens to be restaurant week and I wanna try all the things. Accepting any and all recommendations!
I think one of the underrated reasons the market is trading is algorithms and sentiment analysis. People say they’ve never seen a market like this which is true but tech plays a bigger role than we expect. Many firms literally pick up Bloomberg terminal headlines and electronically buy or sell as a result. This creates higher volume in the market and leads to higher equity prices
What are good exit ops from a regional strategy role? A bit stuck what to do next at the AVP/VP level.
Who had the bright idea of open offices? Anyone else sick of other people phones calls and messy desks? It's counter collaborative imo
I want to send flowers to my grandmother who's visiting my aunt for mother's day. But I won't want to send flowers to my aunt and I feel like I'm going to have to send them to my aunt too if I send them to my grandmother. Help.
Is it worth pursuing the Specialist consultant track at McKinsey? A recruiter reached out to me regarding a role in healthcare. Currently have 5 YOE, no MBA, am a SC at D.
Ahem - any ladies have tips and tricks for hair removal practices I came from a culture of waxing but that requires hair to fully grow + my hair grows pretty quickly so waiting for full growth for waxing is hard to work around (for legs, underarms, etc.). I tried shaving but my hair began showing in 1-2 days. In general though, not something my family struggles with in general, but I’m just hairier? I know this is a weird question, but looking for any tips and tricks!
What’re good ways to make more gay friends in the ATL area? Anyone a part of any good organizations, clubs, etc? Seems like everyone on apps just wants to hookup 🤷🏼♂️
I have always wondered why PwC promotes so much later than other Big 4 firms (3 years to Sr, 3 more to manager). Every answer I've gotten has just been a complete load of shit...
Ugh. Democrats will see this as obvious proof that many conservatives are conspiracy theorists that have lost their minds, conservatives will see this as proof the deep state exists and that this dude fought it with inside information. Or proof that you can be fired for "conservative views..." https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/09/21/nih-william-crews-covid-19-fraud-retire-anthony-fauci/5860559002/
What’s the typical process to move from a verbal offer to written offer? Do you typically need to tell the recruiter you’ve decided to accept their verbal offer before they send you a written offer to review? Also is there a standard timeline to make a decision (interviewing with other firms too, so timing is tricky bc would like to finish those processes before making a decision)
