Hi fishes, I've joined TCS on 9th nov as a 2 YOE .Net developer. Since past week I'm getting project interview calls, I have given 3 till now, not selected in 1 and not sure in other 2. I've followed up with the interviewers about my interview , both said that they have given their feedback to their managers and if there is an requirement I will be called up. I am little worried seeing all the layoffs going on...can my employment be in danger upon failing in project interviews?? Tata Consultancy

Also be sure you understand how taxes will affect your net pay while you’re an expat. What sounds like a great “pay bump” can sometimes be eaten away by quirky tax rules in the other country and how said rules affect your US tax return, not to mention how other “expat package” “perks” are taxed, like housing, paid moving expenses, flights home, etc. You’ll probably be at the mercy of a company-provided, global accounting firm come tax time as well (one who knows the laws of your host country) so be ready to not have as much control over how your tax return is handled (vs. the local accountant you’ve used for years, know well, have a good working relationship with, etc.)
There’s a chance of that, yes. It all depends on the details of the expat package and tax laws of country you’re going to.
I moved to the US and got a great relo package ($15k which included flights, a month’s housing, shipping and essential furniture). I was shocked at how much of my amazing new salary went to taxes though and hadn’t really worried about it until I moved here. But when I compare my salary here to what I’d be earning back home at the same level, it’s 100% worth it.
