Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?

Does anyone have advice on exit ops from Big 4 technology consulting when you don't have deep technical experience? I'm fluent in technology and IT; however, I wouldn't feel comfortable being in a true engineering or architecture role. I've built up a lot of skills in management, communicating with clients, and working with technology stakeholders to drive outcomes.

I just wanted to take the time as a consultant in the infant stages of my career to thank all the people who offer to support and guide others and are patient with new employees as we develop. I’ve dealt with a lot of condescending and derailing people, but I'm glad that in my life, there always seems to be at least one senior person offering support.

a. be honest and hope they understand; i have had stable long term employment otherwise

b. act as if the new job never existed , but then it would show that i’ve left D 2 months ago with nothing lined up.
