i flew in last weekend and tested out of the mandatory 10-day quarantine 2 days ago, but no one ever asked for my results. i'm also still getting the automatic texts asking if i'm quarantining but they stopped having someone call and ask.

is there a number i can call to let them know?

Mate, there is no oversight. It’s an honor system. Good on you for following though

Having them check up on you sounds pretty creepy. I don't open the door to strangers

Kpmg1 - not true. My friend traveled back Wednesday and got a call on Friday. I think it’s all random now so they are just spot checking.

Op - you are not enforced to take a test either - you just need to quarantine for 7-10days.

This also doesn’t exist anymore. Cuomo ended it recently. Also, when it was a thing - it was more of a guideline than enforced policy.

You’re right / I just checked. It ends on 4/1.

NYC does absolutely nothing lol...

It’s been one of those days. Crying nonstop and feeling just AWFUL. The thing is, can’t even pinpoint what is giving me so much agony. Probably the current state of the world and my life but that’s largely unchanged since a month or so ago. So why does a day like today happen out of nowhere? Does this happen to anyone else? I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.

Hello All,
I’m looking for a new role in PM. I’d like to target companies that offer fertility benefits. Im making a list (since I can’t find one).
If your company offers such benefits would you mind sharing the company name? Any special benefits like surrogate coverage? How many rounds of IVF? Who is the benefit carrying company?
Thanks for your thoughts!

Honeymoon planning: how are y'all accounting for COVID for honeymoon trips? I'm getting married in October and we want to go to Argentina... which is not letting any foreign nationals in right now and doesn't have an estimated date to reopen (that I've seen). Stuck between booking somewhere else that is already open, like Greece, or buying refundable flights to Argentina anyway and pushing the honeymoon back if necessary. Anyone else dealing with this? Any advice?

I’m 16 weeks pregnant and haven’t told anybody at work. My team is organizing an out of town networking event next week (60+ people) and I’m getting second thoughts about attending (mostly because of covid or any other virus I could get by flying in or attending). Am I overreacting or being crazy for thinking this way? I don’t know whether I should attend or not, and if I decide not to, what my excuse could be as I don’t want anybody to think they can’t count on me anymore bc I’m pregnant. Help!

We’re getting married next spring and trying to put together our website.
Many weddings we’re attending this year have some sort of Covid-disclaimer on them saying “please have a negative PCR test or be vaccinated beforehand” (paraphrasing), but it’s the honor system, no one is checking.
For 2022, is that type of language necessary? Vaccines will have been out 1 year. The state we are getting married won’t require it (southern state), it feels like it’s on the individual wedding to say (or not).

People say to always negotiate but what do you do if you’re offered a higher number than expectating and is also the number you were going to try to negotiate? I.e. you think they’ll offer $1 so your plan is to ask for $4 and they end up offering $4. Do you still negotiate/go higher?

If you’re not competent enough to solve real problems in the organization, create a few minor problems that you can solve and look like a hero.

But you have to ensure the org feels the pain of your decision before promising to fix it. It’s like the three parts of a magic trick: the pledge where you float your idea, the turn where you inflict your idea, and the prestige where you fake a way to fix the mess you made on purpose.

Only works managing up, tho.
