I have got 2 more offers from college placement, first one is SENIOR ANALYST at Capgemini with 7.5LPA and second one is SOFTWARE DEVELOPER at Hitachi with 9 LPA.
Which company should i join as a fresher to have a proper growth or a good role in future ?

If your ammunition is that you have done your job really well, that is what they are paying you to do at your current salary. You need to show you are doing great work that goes above and beyond what you were hired to do.
I have never been at an agency with automatic raises or cost of living increases. You either get promoted (and sometimes that does not automatically come with a pay increase either) or a raise every 2-3 years.
To get a pay increase in this industry you have to quit and negotiate a higher salary with a new agency or leverage an offer to get one at your current agency. In other words, it is all on you. No one will simply give you a raise.
It works this way everywhere. If your agency is owned by a holding company, you’re also at the behest of raise pools, promo freezes, and more fun along those lines.

Senior copywriter 2 is right. No such thing as guaranteed living wage increases every year. Or bonuses. And, yes, great you did your job. That’s what your paycheck is for. What else are you doing? Building bridges with account, creating process or production that increased efficiency, etc. what ON TOP of your role do you do? Being a jr is hard. You make no money, are trying to figure shit out, get a lot of crit all day, every day. Stick with it. Learn and grow. Then go get you a new job with a higher salary. Not harm in asking for a raise tho... no ask, def no raise. Just be prepared with WHY
Which I’m going to do. And fortunately, I was given a lot of ammunition in my annual review to help me make that case. But I’m curious if this is the way it works in other agencies? And how do we collectively feel about this practice? I think it’s bullshit, but I know I’m a junior and I’m new to the business.
oof yeah, welcome to advertising. i echo the sentiments here — no harm in asking, but don’t take it personally if they say no. I’ve only gotten raises by moving agencies, getting promoted, or bringing in a counter-offer, which is becoming more standard practice.
Thanks for the feedback. I am new to this, and I accept that these are the rules of the game. It smarts that I just found out about this in my annual review. But now I know, and now I’m prepared.
When I was client side, I got automatic cost of living raises and thought that was the norm (and think it should be, as the cost of living does go up, like my health insurance premium did this year, so otherwise you're losing $ each year). Haven't gotten a COL or annual raise since I've been agency side, only when I've been promoted, changed jobs or in one case right before an acquisition after which raises became much harder.
