Recently did an interview for an associate consultant position at Northern Trust Bank, it is in a new department that will be handling compliance and audits of accounts.

So I applied for a position & received feedback from the hiring manager stating that the position that I applied for was filled internally but they would like consider me for another position. So I interviewed and two days later, I was offered the position. Went through a background check & negotiated salary. It’s been almost 2 months and they stated that the delay is due to internal HR issues since the dept director did not create a new job requisition for the job they offered me. Thoughts?

What do people usually respond to when asked why they want to leave their current job if the new job they are applying for is basically the same - just different company?

I have given interview on oct 8 in LTI and got selected after that I got mail from HR on oct 10 to submit documents after a week on oct 19 i got a mail saying thank you for applying LTI you have cleared all stages after that no update it has been a week.. May i know when can I expect my offer letter

Hey All,
I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

Should I be worried if someone who interviewed the same day as me (albeit earlier) received an offer call the day of, while I still haven’t heard anything?

I want to ask for a 20%raise, knowing that the company is planning the year budget around now should I give my manager a heads up as to what I’m expecting before my salary review? I got a 0.6% raise at the start of 2020 and a 4% in April this year. The raise this year came with the title of “Lead” and more work responsibilities, talking with a co-worker we now make about the same amount. I started working here right out of college (10 years).
