Can you give the pay information? I would say you would be burning a bridge but you can’t just take a job you don’t want.
$85k base with $25k bonus. It is not so much the job but it would require me to re-locate from Boston to Florida and that is the part I am unsure about.
You haven’t signed anything yet so shouldn’t be an issue at all. (And you can still say no to them even after signing too but it looks slightly worse). Just tell them you can no longer accept the offer due to personal reasons and thank them for giving you the opportunity and consideration, really grateful blah blah blah. Most companies won’t even ask more.
Better to burn that bridge now than to take the job and leave in less than a year. I would follow my gut.
I recently didn’t take a job on the west coast bc I wasn’t ready for a cross country relocation. Boston to Florida is closer, but if you don’t have any friends or family there it’ll be tough. If you’re going to Miami it might work, but if it’s an even smaller city it might be tough
Why have your feelings changed?
Nah. You might burn the bridge but do what is best for you. At the end of the day, you are what matters most.
