I get so frustrated by research vendors emailing constantly to set up time to talk. Even after I’ve told them I don’t want to do a call. Why are they so insistent? It turns me off from using their research product. Even if I was already planning to use it. They’re like used car salesmen. Anyone else?

They have bosses and goals and that’s their job. They don’t like being turned away and probably don’t want to reach back out to you.

It’s a numbers game to them. It’s a bit like door to door salesmen. For every 100 people that shut their door annoyed at them, 1-2 just might work, and sometimes that’s all they need.

It’s also very much an automated system. So if you’ve met then personally that’s different, for the most part, you’re just a name in a database and can ignore them guilt-free

Currently working as a due diligence analyst at a well known bank but looking to move to a front-facing role. I have almost 2 years of experience so fairly early in my career. I got an offer for a Transfer Pricing role at a big 4, not sure if I should take it or try getting a corporate banking/IM role at another Bank. Any advice? Is the transition from big 4 back to banking going to be harder?

B4 Recruiter: B4 have almost identical experiences, so you’ll fit right in. Same B4 recruiter: Even though you’re on the cusp of your 2nd promo, we’ll bring you in at the entry level so that you can adjust to the firm and be set up for success.

Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

I'm in final rounds w a large tech company (interview already scheduled), but I saw that the company just removed the job posting I'm applying for on their website. Does this mean they already selected a candidate and I'm wasting my time? Or does it mean they have enough candidate selection for the final round to where if I have an offer, I'm less able to negotiate since the company has a lot of back up candidates. First time leaving consulting so all of this is new to me.

Proposal touch point near EOD. I will be PTO tomorrow and unavailable most of the evening. Does it make sense to still attend or should I just decline the invite? I’m kind of nervous saying that I’ll be unavailable for action items. First proposal so sorry for the newb question.
